Here's our
39th Challenge for you all.
"Would You Like to Get Away?"
(https://www.christianphotographers.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi240.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fff293%2Fpairajeans%2FFun%2520Gifs%2FCROSSROADS.gif&hash=6e50a9a91edb635c2ae1d946bdbda5c03635d9ae)
Details: - This topic was chosen by Fotobirder, who won our last Challenge.
He explains: "If you've seen the commercials that shows people having a rough time and it says 'Would you like to get away?' and immediately it shows them in a beautiful place. No pictures from previous Challenges please. Show us your pictures that would entice or invites us to be there right now. Hopefully, this will turn out to be almost like a Travel Guide."
- Use the attachment feature to show your photos (see directions above in the link to "How to Use This Board") in your post or link to them from your gallery or an offsite location that allows linking using the image codes. If you have trouble, please contact a moderator (name in blue) or an administrator (name in red) and we'll help you post your photo. If you have your photo in your gallery, please don't use the attachment feature as that puts the photo on our server twice but rather link to it. It's best if your photos are at least 500 to 600 pixels wide so that they are easily seen. Please keep your photos under 175 KB in size.
- Please upload up to 4 entries per member for this challenge.
- The challenge is open now and will be closed to uploads on December 16, 2009 and then we'll vote on them.
- Please tell us the camera you used to take your photo and when you took it. Please only enter photos taken by you.
- Please put a short title above your photo. We need the title for the poll listing. If you want to tell us a bit about your photos, please put it below your picture.
- Please post only one entry per post/message.
- Of course, we're going to see who is posting the photos so this is not an anonymous challenge. So start posting. Click on the "Reply" button below and start this challenge!
Remember, this is a fun project!

Very hard to vote for 10. All the places were so intriguing.

I felt that way too, Steve. :-\ I finally had to go with my personal preference for a "get-away" spot rather than based on the photography. ALL the photography was top-rate!
Quoteand highly amusing to see all the Santa's driving down the motorway. Explain that one to the kids
I told them that there was one Santa, and all the rest were subordinate clauses.

Gotsa my vote in....I just closed my eyes and clicked!!! Really-Great getaways-everyone!!!
I didn't really close my eyes, in case any one was wondering, :D...but it was a challenge, to choose!!!!
Got my vote in, too. I must be getting better, I actually got votes this time. I did win a challenge at the Cafe (http://www.photography-cafe.com/forum/index.php?topic=8745.msg116150#msg116150) once.
I just voted. I didn't get any notice that we were voting, but just happened to drop in and noticed that voting was going on. :)
Did I accidentally get deleted from the automatic notices that we used to get whenever a new contest started and/or voting began, or aren't those being sent to anyone any more? :snowman:
Hi Jim...
I sent them out yesterday so check your email. Make sure it's not in your spam email box.

Thanks to everyone for making this a great Challenge. :groupwave: :groupwave: I would like to go to all these places but have to save money for a pretty good while to do it. :tissue: :tissue:I can't fool you. I have been fortunate to travel all over the USA. But not out west yet. I guess that's why I loved Kathleen's picture of the Snow. I hardly miss Glade Creek Gristmill when i go to West Virginia. I loved Don's picture with all the reflections. Streams, Mountains, Ocean Rivers etc. I believe we had a little of all of that. Great Job to every one.
