Details:   

• Show us your best photos of your "PETS" for this challenge--Dogs, Rabbits, Cats, Rats, Gerbils, Budgie--any Pet!. Here is an opportunity to come up with some fascinating and creative pictures! Think about your photo and plan the pose and the lighting and get a really nice shot of your PET!   

• Use the attachment feature to show your photos (see directions above in the link to "How to Use This Board") in your post or link to them from your gallery or an offsite location that allows linking using the image codes.  If you have trouble, please contact a moderator (name in blue) or an administrator (name in red) and we'll help you post your photo.  If you have your photo in your gallery, please don't use the attachment feature as that puts the photo on our server twice but rather link to it.    

• Please upload up to 4 entries per member for this challenge.    

• The challenge is open now and will be locked to uploads on Saturday, May 20th, 2006 and then we'll vote on them.    

• Please put a title in your post for your photos.  We need the title for the poll.   

• Of course, we're going to see who is posting the photos so this is not an anonymous challenge.  So start posting.  Click on the "Reply" button below and start this challenge!
  Remember, this is a fun project!

Great photos folks and it appears there are more cats than dogs amoung our posters.  I will have to see what I have of our cat, Mr. Tiggers, or try to get a new photo of him.

Well, this is only a sort of pet.  "She" (my son has declared it is a girl, and she wants to be named Chickalee) is the classroom pet at my son's school.  We got to babysit her tonight so I just snapped a picture.

    Beauregard fears no cat...believe it or not. We used to have a long hair cat that would tease him by walking back and forth by his low perch, every time the cat would get close enough...Beauregard would LUNGE at the raised tail and try his best to get a bite.

    Sometimes he'd get in a good nip. The kitty would stay away for a couple of weeks, then the whole affair would begin again. He's not actually very small either, he has a little more than a two foot wingspan. Oh yeah...that beak... can open unshelled almonds without any help. But he's my little sweetheart! <3

Beauregard is beautiful, Ritz!  I had a similar bird with green coloring....had to give it away because of the bird dander and allergies....Also had budgies.  They are both so smart and with real personalities!  Never a dull moment ::)

GeeGee, your kittens are really sweet!  So small and cuddly.

Beuregaurd  the African Grey is so beautiful. I love African greys. At one time I had a double Yellow head named Spacheene (not spelled that way it is an italian word) I spelled it phonetically.  can't remember what it means, it was used a lot in the Godfather movies when two people were talking to each other.

Geordie is 43 lb.

His mother was small but his father was a huge dog.  Guess Geordie takes after his mother.  He's heavy enough when he's a "lap dog"  :lol:

Thank you everyone.  I'm actually going to enter that into a photo competition here.  All the procedes ($5.00 entrance fee) go to the humane society.  If I won I'd get a p&s camera so I could cart that around with me when I don't want to lug my 20D around (like on my 4-5 mile walks in the mornings) and then when my oldest is old enough...another year or so, he can have it.  The second and third place winners get a gift cert. for a photo supply store, that I could use too!

Congratulations to all! 

The small town I live near has a weekly newpaper.  They asked for pictures of pets.  Since I was away from home, while eating my breakfast I looked at the weekly paper and there was Inky in newsprint!
