How to Use This Board (http://www.christianphotographers.com/community/index.php?topic=5279.0)
Here's our
41st Challenge for you all.
"Details, Details"
(https://www.christianphotographers.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.photography-cafe.com%2Fforum%2FSmileys%2Falive%2Fcamera.gif&hash=5a50e5a266efe6712ced2848532adf0149d2d90c)
Fine points to remember: - This topic was chosen by shutterbugmom, who won our last Challenge.
She explains: "I'm looking for close-up and macro images for this challenge. Use whatever camera & equipment you have, to capture the details of whatever subject you choose. Even most point-and-shoot cameras now have a macro setting, so hopefully everyone can do this challenge. If your camera doesn't have a macro setting, or macro lens, just get as close to your subject as your camera will allow, with your camera zoomed in all the way, and take your shot. I would also challenge you to try and take at least one or even more of the images specifically for this challenge, if you can. Also, please do not enter images that have been entered in previous challenges on this website, and please no text. If this is your first time trying close-up photography, I hope you enjoy learning something new. I hope everyone has fun with this one...start shooting!"
- Use the attachment feature to show your photos (see directions above in the link to "How to Use This Board") in your post or link to them from your gallery or an offsite location that allows linking using the image codes. If you have trouble, please contact a moderator (name in blue) or an administrator (name in red) and we'll help you post your photo. If you have your photo in your gallery, please don't use the attachment feature as that puts the photo on our server twice but rather link to it. It's best if your photos are at least 500 to 600 pixels wide so that they are easily seen. Please keep your photos under 175 KB in size.
- Please upload up to 4 entries per member for this challenge.
- The challenge is open now and will be closed to uploads on February 7, 2010 and then we'll vote on them.
- Please tell us the camera you used to take your photo and when you took it. Please only enter photos taken by you.
- Please put a short title above your photo. We need the title for the poll listing. If you want to tell us a bit about your photos, please put it below your picture.
- Please post only one entry per post/message.
- Of course, we're going to see who is posting the photos so this is not an anonymous challenge. So start posting. Click on the "Reply" button below and start this challenge!
Remember, this is a fun project!

Back Off Buddy
[attachimg=#]
I'm leaving wednesday to go to Florida. The weather is dark and dreary here. So,
my first entry is an old photo when I was using a Nikon D70 and 28-200 Tamron Lens. Using the Close Up selection, I was able to get this photo from about 12 Inches away . I promise not to put all these words on any more entries. But I had to explan this one.

Mother Gator With Hatchling
[attachimg=#]
I did try one time to get close enough to get a picture of a Mother gator with a hatchling on her back. I learned at that time that they could jump about 4 feet out of the water onto the ground. I was able to jump a little farther. Now, I keep my distance.

OK, folks! No more entries.
IT'S TIME TO VOTE!
Choose your fifteen (15) favorites and then click "Submit"!
Don't forget, voting ends Sunday, February 14!
Okay, I voted ... I looked and looked, but never found option D ... "all of the above". These entries are amazing -- all of them!
This was a REALLY tough one!
I voted. Very hard to pick winners since they were all great!
When will the link to the final results be posted.
Thanks
Steve
Right now, Steve!
Sorry, But there's a slight mistake. I was tied for first with 12 votes also. Could I also see the link to all the winners. It never showed up on my computer. Thanks for your help.
Steve
Hold everything folks!!!
You all entered so many fantastic images that we've made a mistake in the calculating!!!
We apologize. We're going to have run off vote to get the First Place Winner! Then we'll post a new list of the winners!
My apologies, folks. Don't know where my brain was. But Pat says she won't fire me, just cutting my salary. (1/2 of nothing is nothing ;D )
No run off please. I just wanted th opportunity for it to be a tie. List Jonathan's picture as the winner. But when you show the winners show us side by side. Since you can only list one picture as the winner, put his there. I loved his picture from the beginning. I just wanted the opportunity to do this. Congratulations to all the winners. I hope this is satisfactory with everyone. Thanks to everyone who voted for my entry. Now, If it's all right, let's move on and let Jonathan choose the next Challenge. :groupwave: :groupwave: :cp: :cp:
Steve
Steve, could you please check your PM's?
Alright, since I haven't heard from Steve, we'll be posting the winners very soon.
Sorry, Pat. I posted it to this link. It's right above yours. I have also now sent you a PM.

Sorry, Pat. I posted it to this link. It's right above yours. I have also now sent you a PM.
Steve
It's ok, Steve. It was your post right above mine that I was writing to you privately about. ;)
We've posted the results now.
Well, CONGRATULATIONS JONATHAN and FOTOBIRDER!!!
What a lovely challenge and great entries!
Congratulations to our TWO winners, jonathanlundy and Fotobirder!
Wonderful entries from everyone.
And I'm so sorry for the mixup. :-[
Great job, guys! There were some really interesting entries in this challenge. (As always!)
We had some great Macro Images. I was very surprised to come back from Florida and see one of my entries tied for first. I loved the pictures in this challenge . But you always have favorites. I loved the Red Splash and the Water beads on the Spider web and the Shelled Diva. All the winners were great pictures and all the Photographers are winners. Let's move on!! :cp: :cp: :groupwave: :groupwave: :grouphug: :grouphug:
Steve
