Details:   

• This topic was chosen by Fotobirder, who won our  last Challenge.
  
  His explanation:  "Let's have Pictures and Titles only. No scriptures please. Just let your picture and title say what Easter means to you. It can be from Palm Sunday all the way to Resurrection Sunday (Easter).  I'm hoping to have a lot of entries in this challenge. May all have a blessed day." 
  

• Use the attachment feature to show your photos (see directions above in the link to "How to Use This Board") in your post or link to them from your gallery or an offsite location that allows linking using the image codes.  If you have trouble, please contact a moderator (name in blue) or an administrator (name in red) and we'll help you post your photo.  If you have your photo in your gallery, please don't use the attachment feature as that puts the photo on our server twice but rather link to it.  It's best if your photos are at least 500 to 600 pixels wide so that they are easily seen.  Please keep your photos under 175 KB in size.

• Please upload up to 4 entries per member for this challenge.    

• The challenge is open now and will be closed to uploads on April 4, 2010   and then we'll vote on them.    

• Please tell us the camera you used to take your photo and when you took it.  Please only enter photos taken by you.

Oh wow!  Thanks everyone!  This makes my day :)

Thanks everybody! I'm new to this forum so this is a special honor.

As most of you know, I've been sick with Bronchitis. Hopefully soon, the Pollen will let up and I will feel much better. You don't know how all these wonderful pictures have made Easter so wonderful to me. The Light Shining through the Cross says so much. On a Hill Far away is the words to my favorite song.  And Jim how did you get that cross above that beautiful Lily. What a wonderful message. The Cross is still Empty speaks plenty for us even today. The Reason is a very dramatic scene.The Graves are Empty. I'm sure I missed a few. The one that just spoke of a New Sunset bringing a new day that Jesus has given us. I think that came from Kevin. All the Flower scenes make me think of Jesus "The Lily of the Valley and Spring when All the Flowers spring forth like Jesus did from the grave. I think Jeanne Lee's entry showed that. The Young Girl writing that Jesus Alive. The one about us being SonFlowers. I also loved the Bird singing the Gospel. The Church scene was quite dramatic to say the least. I'm sorry if I left you out. I think you're covered in there somewhere. Thanks to all for one Great Challenge. :grouphug: :grouphug: :groupwave: :groupwave: :cp: :cp:

And thanks, Steve for the mentioning my sunRISE photo.  It is near my home that it was taken, and I am often out with Jazz at that time of the morning.  So when I see the sun rising to bring on a NEW day, I am reminded of the SON rising bring us NEW LIFE!

It's my hope that with each competition, I will work to shoot even better photos than I did the last time around, because whatever I do, I want to do "as unto the Lord."

Hi Steve. Praying you'll get well quickly!
To get the cross shadow on the wall, my wife held up a cross between a light I had set up and the wall, and then I cloned out the part of her hand that was in the shot.

Well, I missed this one altogether :-\  I was in California for a couple weeks.

Thanks to everyone for your very kind words. The story behind the photo "Empty Cross at Sunrise" is that I simply had to position myself so that the cross was between me and the rising sun. I just pressed the button the camera--God did the rest!

It certainly is a lovely image and looks so nice over in the left sidebar!  Thanks for sharing how you took it!
