How to Use This Board (http://www.christianphotographers.com/community/index.php?topic=5279.0)
Here's our
49th Challenge for you all.
"Churches"
(https://www.christianphotographers.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi495.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Frr320%2FJubilee_bucket%2Fchurch_smallest.jpg&hash=f8830a867e867e504e1eb68d3d409d25a7ce33f9)
Details: - This topic was chosen by JudyB, who won our last Challenge.
Her explanation: "The topic is Churches. You have to be able to see it is a church, old new or in between. Inside or outside. But the photo must be identifiable as a church.
Let's encourage folks by letting them know we're enjoying their entries."
- Use the attachment feature to show your photos (see directions above in the link to "How to Use This Board") in your post or link to them from your gallery or an offsite location that allows linking using the image codes. If you have trouble, please contact a moderator (name in blue) or an administrator (name in red) and we'll help you post your photo. If you have your photo in your gallery, please don't use the attachment feature as that puts the photo on our server twice but rather link to it. It's best if your photos are at least 500 to 600 pixels wide so that they are easily seen. Please keep your photos under 175 KB in size.
- Please upload up to 4 entries per member for this challenge.
- The challenge is open now and will be closed to uploads on September 25, 2010 and then we'll vote on them.
- Please tell us the camera you used to take your photo and when you took it. Please only enter photos taken by you.
- Please put a short title above your photo. We need the title for the poll listing. If you want to tell us a bit about your photos, please put it below your picture.
- Please post only one entry per post/message.
- Of course, we're going to see who is posting the photos so this is not an anonymous challenge. So start posting. Click on the "Reply" button below and start this challenge!
Let's ALSO NOT put any photos in this challenge labelled "NOT AN ENTRY" or anything that is not to be voted on.
Remember, this is a fun project!

Los Ebonos is an American town, because the Rio Grande takes a southward loop for a few hundred yards. There's a ferry to cross here, a raft pulled across the river by six employees, using a rope strung across the 30 meters of river.
Very nice people, very little of the 20th century here, much less 21st.

WE'RE VOTING
What a wonderful response we've had to this challenge!!!
Please select your
TEN favorites and then click on the Submit button. Voting will be open until October 3 so be sure you get your votes in before then.
Well, this isn't going to be easy! Fantastic images in here.
This certainly wasn't easy, but I voted. Great photos, everyone.
it was very hard to choose ten out of this great group of photos. I did. But all were winners.
Steve
Regretfully, I did not have any entry but I enjoyed all the postings on this Mini Challenge. I have voted for my top ten choices.
Blessings,
Mario
Sigh, I totally missed being able to enter this challenge. I'll have to settle for voting for the fine entries!
I'm so happy that you who didn't enter have now voted. That's just wonderful! Thanks to you.
Ok, my votes are in. There are so many nice churches in this challenge that choosing was difficult.
I don't know how you can adequately select 10 when there are so many great pictures, as has already been said. However, I will give it my best shot.
So many wonderful entries! If only the voting was as easy as the posting.
At Heather's and I've voted. Some wonderful pictures here, thank you everyone for your contributions.
I grew up in Connecticut and my grandparents lived in Connecticut and then Upper State New York. These pictures bring back so many memories of the churches I used to attend as a young girl. The churches in New England are so beautiful inside and out. They have wonderful big organs in them. You can sing loud even if you are a lousy singer because the organ drowns out your voice. These pictures are wonderful! I want to burst out in some of the hymns I remember singing when I attended church as a girl in New England. It was good to see them and visit them if only in my imagination.
I also had a tough time voting, as there were so many beautiful churches, and great shots. Of course, the Church of our Lady...right here in Guelph, Ontario, got one of my votes. ;)
Thanks to all who contributed their photos. Great work!!!
Bonnie
When will the winners be announced or did I miss it again.

Steve, Judy has been having computer problems and hopes to have them solved by the end of this week. I'm sure she'll get the winners announced as soon as she can. ;)
No problem. I just thought I had missed that little post in the corner. Thaks for all you do.
Steve
Maybe it's not official yet, Steve, but it sure looks like you won. Congratulations on another wonderful display of good photography! Can't wait to see what the next challenge's topic will be - it motivates me to get out there in God's creation and shoot, shoot, shoot!
Congrats to all the winners! It was wonderful driving the countryside looking at all the amazing churches in New England and along the way I discovered how truly blessed I am where I live! Excited to see what the next challenge will be!

Yes, unless a mistake was made, it's easy to see who the winners are. Just look at the list of votes at the top of the first page. :)
Congratulations to Steve and Pat! :D
Judy is quite discouraged about her computer and has asked me to put together the list of winners. It should be ready for posting by sometime tomorrow, folks, so bear with me please? :D

I'm discouraged because I've had so much going on, including switching to a new computer and not having use of one for a time that I didn't even get to enter or vote! :( Oh well, congrats to the winners! There are some gorgeous images of churches here.
