Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

God With Us

[attachimg=#]

What a gift God gave us.  Most people, even today, did not pay any attention to the baby.  It was too cold, too busy, other things were more important.  And they missed it.  They missed seeing and touching "God with us".

My father just passed and he is with Jesus right now.  How blessed is my father.  A friend sent this poem.

My First Christmas In Heaven

I see the countless Christmas trees around the world below
With tiny lights, like Heaven's stars, reflecting on the snow
The sight is so spectacular, please wipe away the tear
For I am spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year.

I hear the many Christmas songs that people hold so dear
But the sounds of music can't compare with the Christmas choir up here.

I have no words to tell you, the joy their voices bring,
For it is beyond description, to hear the angels sing.
I know how much you miss me, I see the pain inside your heart
But I am not so far away, We really aren't apart.
So be happy for me, dear ones, You know I hold you dear.
And be glad I'm spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year.

I sent you each a special gift, from my heavenly home above.
I sent you each a memory of my undying love.
After all, love is a gift more precious than pure gold.

It was always most important in the stories Jesus told.
Please love and keep each other, as my Father said to do.
For I can't count the blessing or love he has for each of you.
So have a Merry Christmas and wipe away that tear
Remember, I am spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year.

Nativity Pageant

[attachimg=#]

To me, a high point in the Christmas festivities is the pageant presented by our church's Sunday School each year.  It is always new and original, and always includes children from pre-school to high school.

Shepherds Field

[attachimg=#]

Although these are not the actual sheeps, the site is the actual field were the shepherds
heard the news of salvation _ the birth of baby Jesus.

The Manger

Here, in the basement of The Church of Nativity in Bethlehem is the marked spot of the Holy Manger.

Candles

[attachimg=#]

Candles always remind me of Christmas and these candles are very special.
They were offerings of worshippers and pilgrims who came to visit The Church of The Nativity
in Bethlehem.

Rays Of Hope

[attachimg=#]

Just like the beam of light from the Christmas Star, the rays of light shining through the windows
of The Church of The Nativity in Bethlehem, would surely spark the spirit of Christmas to pilgrims
that visit this Holy Ground.

Looking At My Ornaments

[attachimg=#]

This is my son Michael and each year he loves getting out his popcorn tins full of his ornaments (gifts from friends and family and places we have traveled) and slowly Michael unwraps each one while talking with Mom about who gave him what and remember when...it's a wonderful tradition we have enjoyed together for years. He then proceeds to decorate our tree.  He is now 9 years old.  Someday all these ornaments will be a wedding gift to him and his bride.

Mom's Teddy Bear

My mother made/sewed this teddy bear by hand many years ago and gave it to my wife and I. We always include it in our Christmas decorations. Her eyesight is very poor now so she no longer can sew anything, so it is a precious Christmas memory for us.

Singing Christ's Praises

Christmas music and Carolers have always been an important part of the Christmas season for us, so we purchased several of the "Byers Choice" Carolers back in the early 1990's and every Christmas since, have set them out from December through New Year's day.

Exchanging Christmas cards with family and friends has always been a joyous part of celebrating Christmas at our home. These are a few our our favorite cards from past Christmases.

 Out of the Mouths of Babes

The smiling faces of children anticipating gifts from Santa Claus are a happy part of Christmas, and all the more so when they both are shown bowing down and praising the real reason for celebrating Christmas - the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Making The Gingerbread House

[attachimg=#]

Every year my son Michael loves to make and decorate his gingerbread house.  It's a wonderful tradition we started when he was five years old. I remember doing this each year with my Mom and I'm glad to be carrying on this family tradition.

The Ultimate Surprise...What Joy!

There's nothing like the surprise and happiness you see on a child's face when they open a gift that they truly wanted!  What joy!  Mom even shock the camera...but I captured the moment!
