How to Use This Board (http://www.christianphotographers.com/community/index.php?topic=5279.0)

Here's our
62nd Challenge for you all.

"Reptiles"

(https://www.christianphotographers.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi240.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fff293%2Fpairajeans%2Freptile_70.gif&hash=cdec2c9f8e64e1407057cef093b295a5278b62c1)

  • This topic was chosen by InspiredGal, who won our last Challenge.

    What a wonderful variety of subjects this offers!  Thank you InspiredGal for suggesting this new topic!

    Please read carefully the "Details" about what is expected, and the rules for posting your photos.

    Details as described by InspiredGal:
    "That includes lizards (large and small), crocs, turtles, snakes. There is such an incredible diversity of reptiles around the world - all shapes, sizes and colours, so it will be wonderful to see what everyone submits for this challenge."

    Let's encourage folks by letting them know we're enjoying their entries.

  • Use the attachment feature to show your photos (see directions above in the link to "How to Use This Board") in your post or link to them from your gallery or an offsite location that allows linking using the image codes.  If you have trouble, please contact a moderator (name in blue) or an administrator (name in red) and we'll help you post your photo.    It's best if your photos are at least 500 to 600 pixels wide so that they are easily seen.  Please keep your photos under 175 KB in size.

  • If you have your photo in your gallery, please don't use the attachment feature as that puts the photo on our server twice but rather link to it.  Instructions for doing this are in the "How to" section.  CLICK HERE (http://www.christianphotographers.com/community/index.php?topic=9255.msg141517#msg141517)  If you need any help, please contact a moderator (name in blue) or an administrator (name in red) and we'll help you post your photo.

  • Please upload up to 4 entries per member for this challenge.

  • The challenge is open now and will be closed to uploads on November 7, 2011   and then we'll vote on them.

  • Please tell us the camera you used to take your photo and when you took it.  Please only enter photos taken by you.

  • Please put a short title above your photo.  We need the title for the poll listing.  If you want to tell us a bit about your photos, please put it below your picture.

  • Please post only one entry per post/message.

  • Of course, we're going to see who is posting the photos so this is not an anonymous challenge.  So start posting.  Click on the "Reply" button below and start this challenge!

    Let's ALSO NOT put any photos in this challenge labeled "NOT AN ENTRY" or anything that is not to be voted on.

    Remember, this is a fun project!

Didn't Need To See The Snake

(https://www.christianphotographers.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi221.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fdd224%2Fderettab%2FBadLands-1.jpg&hash=88a21bc9ed13dffa320a3fd520ba882fe17dd6fa)

Nikon D300, f13 at 1/250, ISO 400, Aperture priority.

Visited the Bad Lands of North Dakota.  Saw this sign and did not  bother to look for one.  That would have been "bad news in the Bad Lands."

Calypso

This is my veiled chameleon, who sadly is no longer with us.  She decided my husband's face was a great climbing apparatus.

Queen Athena

[attachimg=1]

This is the largest of my bearded dragons.  She is currently 2 1/2 years old.  We will be breeding her in the spring.

Going For A Ride

[attachimg=1]

This is my largest bearded dragon and my smallest one.  For almost a year they shared an enclosure, and quite often this is what you saw when you looked at them.  The little one rathered ride on Athena'a back, than walk herself anywhere.  Since we have separated them, she is much less lazy ... :lol:

This a Tiger Frog. So named because of the striped legs. He is just a little bigger than a quarter.

J. C. Lizard

[attachimg=1]

This lizard is called a Jesus Christ lizard because of it's ability to walk (run) on water.

Yes Marilyn  this was a hard one. It was very hard to narrow it down to 5. It shows you how hard it is to be a judge in a Photo Contest. All the photos entered all good. But some stand out and are more pleasing to the eye. We're going to have some great winners here.

There certainly are some wonderful entries! It was my 9 year old son, Yowceph, who helped me choose this topic.  :thumbsup:
