Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Carol: My husband Don is with the angels.....Our family was able to hold  ourselves together for the last moments.  Juar rhoufhr you might want to know. 2022-04-29, 23:35:15

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

I will have a look around though
God first. Friends next . Self last.

Is this contest limited to containers only? Or any photo relating to milk?

It could be a cow, a goat, a milking parlour, anything related to Dairy.

""We love ice cream, milk, pudding, etc.  We have seen cows and goats in the field.  Let's take photographs where the subject relates to milk or products made with dairy products.  How about containers?  Have fun!"

Well Mario, I am not good at making people laugh, so I try to make them wonder  ^-^

Ken, those are fantastic entries!  That's one mighty big milking parlor!  Wow!  The largest I've seen is 8 stations!!!

BigSkyKen

Thanks Pat. The parlor belongs to a customer of mine, and would be considered maybe a little larger than average for Montana.  I've seen one in Idaho that was two double-sixteens back-to-back, allowing them to milk 64 cows at a time.  And I saw a 75-cow carousel in Colorado!

Nice nostalgic presentation captured there, Bob!

Lovely composition, Bob!

Reminds me of my Granny who had a stall at the Farmers' Market and made cottage cheese every week for that.  No photos though.  :(

Wow! These photos have me excited about the topic and looking forward to seeing more from y'all.

I spent an entire summer with my grandma in Alabama, and she taught me to make butter. What fun it was to churn the milk with an old fashioned butter churn. It was so exciting when I would begin to see the butter globs on the dasher that I lifted up and down, over and over, until the butter was ready to be coaxed to give up the last of the milk and then put it into the butter mold that had the flowers carved in relief. What great memories y'all have brought to mind!

I still have that butter mold. :)

So far, there is one particular shot of all these entries that really stands out. It is already a winner in my opinion. Unless of course, another one comes along to take the spot.

Steve, I think your shot is a calf from Salem Sue pictured above!

But the entry is so much like Ken's. I would like to have it erased. I have some different entries.

No hidden agenda Steve, just thought it looked like the other half of the pair!  A matched set, if you will ;)

I'm A little confused about Dairy. For instance, A Steer wouldn't be able to give milk, only Beef. Is it still considered dairy? I think my next entry will be all right. I just had to have an infected Tooth pulled. The infection was going up into my jaw and causing A lot of Swelling. I'm just trying to make myself feel better by entering this
Challenge. All prayers will be appreciated.

I will be praying for you Steve!

BigSkyKen

You got it, Steve.  Tooth issues like that can really spoil a day/week/month....  While a steer can't give milk, a Holstein steer is still a dairy animal, so in my book would be considered dairy.  I think there is a lot of leeway here, as you can see I assumed when posting the Elk pairs, and others have followed suit.

Steve, if you want to take out that one entry so you can add something different, let me know.

I've had that kind of tooth infection, so I know what you're going through.  Praying for you.
