Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

How to Use This Board

TIME TO VOTE

CHOOSE YOUR 5 FAVORITES, ALL AT ONCE, AND CLICK ON THE SUBMIT BUTTON

VOTING CLOSES ON APRIL 28.

"HISTORY"

Details:

  • From MaxA:  "Bring us photos of historical buildings, historical places or historical items.  Think about your photo and plan the lighting and get a really nice shot of something that speaks of the past"

  • Use the attachment feature to show your photos (see directions above in the link to "How to Use This Board") in your post or link to them from your gallery or an offsite location that allows linking using the image codes.  If you have trouble, please contact a moderator (name in blue) or an administrator (name in red) and we'll help you post your photo.  If you have your photo in your gallery, please don't use the attachment feature as that puts the photo on our server twice but rather link to it.

  • Please upload up to 4 entries per member for this challenge.

  • If you possibly can, please tell us the camera you used to take your photo and when you took it.  But if you don't know, please post the picture anyway.  We want to see your photos.  :)  Please only enter photos taken by you.

  • The challenge is open now and will be locked to uploads on Monday, April 21, 2014 and then we'll vote on them.

  • Please put a title in your post for your photos.  We need the title for the poll.

  • Of course, we're going to see who is posting the photos so this is not an anonymous challenge.  So start posting.  Click on the "Reply" button below and start this challenge!
Remember, this is a fun project!

Thanks to MaxA for suggesting this topic.  He was the winner of our last Challenge entitled "REFLECTIONS".  Thanks MaxA!

The Way They Were

"The law cannot condemn a believer, for Christ hath fulfilled it for him; divine justice cannot condemn him, for that Christ hath satisfied; his sins cannot condemn him, for they in the blood of Christ are pardoned." - Thomas Brooks

"Montezuma's Castle"

Montezuma didn't build it and it's not a castle but, what's in a name.
Early Arizona settlers named this native American dwelling.

There are many histories and important events, but the Friday when my Lord Jesus died for my sin, is the history that I will always remember.

Mount Vernon Estate

Mount Vernon Estate, the historic home of George Washington and his family.  My wife and I took a trip to Washington DC back in 2009.  My wife and I went to a retirement seminar for where she works.  Spouses were invited to come also.  The seminar was for people who were within ten years of being able to retire.

This photo was taken on 8/21/09 with a Canon XSi.

Michelangelo's Frescoes

[attachimg=1]

This is the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel where the master sculptor Michelangelo reluctantly painted his famous fresoes, depicting the great stories of The Holy Bible. He completed it in 1512 after four years of agonizing work.

I shot this very discreetly, using wide angle set on auto everything. Photography was restricted. So I had to shoot without looking, pretending to be just admiring the paintings. I wouldn't leave that place without firing a few shots.
Who are they kidding? I am sure God understood and has already forgiven me for breaking the Vatican rules. LOL!!!
