Post by: JudyB on August 22, 2011, 06:23:59 PM

I am on Phase 1 of the south beach and wonder if anyone would like to join me on my quest to loosing weight and becoming more fit.

This is going to be a struggle for me..I would appreciate any who have a desire/need to loose to join me in this quest.

Our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit, I need to work on this.

Hi Judy. I am looking to lose some weight. Have been doing aquafit, and trying to incorporate more walking in my day.

Hugs and prayer.

Thought you walked everywhere?  I have a bum hip that stops me from even trying to walk any great distance!  LOL  Must get at it though.. On the South Beach website they said if we have stairs to climb them 5 extra times a day for the extra exercise...Going to try that!

Hi again, my dear friend. Though most of my clients are in the same general area of the city, there are days when I start in the west side and then go to the northeast. The distance is about 3.5 to 4 miles, by my estimate, and I simply do not have the time available between clients to walk that far.  The various hills can make for a stressful walk on the more humid days too, even when I do have both the time and the energy to do so. The most walking I do is about 1 mile per work day.

On my days off I try to walk for at least 30 minutes per day.

I am truly enjoying the aquafit..and the fact that I can do it in a pool that is no more than 4 feet deep.

Ny Friend you do walk more than me.  I had better pick up the pace.  Have you heard of interval walking or training?  If so wonder what you think of it.
