Title: take a shot at questions from the newbie?
Post by: InHisImageinIA on October 23, 2007, 04:37:43 PM
Do any of you run a part time or even full time studio out of your home? If so do you have any tips? Like here are my questions - if anyone wants to post an opinion / answer I am open to anything!!

The studio walls: should they be flat grey (18%) or bright flat white? I get mixed reviews when reading other things! LOL!!

Any suggestion on lighting in the studio I mean just my regular lights that are on in the studio! I have my portrait lighting.

Any labs that anyone would like to suggest! I am currently using one that seems ok but I want to make sure to explore all options!

Well thanks for any input or tips!!

God Bless!
Melissa

Hi Melissa, I can only comment on one of your questions.  There are so many printing options.  I have used mpix in the past and loved the prints and fast service.  Some other suggestions would be WHCC, prolabexpress.com, colorinc.com (or maybe it's incorporated), Millers which is a division of mpix.com.

There are many more but those are the ones I can remember.
