Title: When is permission needed?
Post by: Debboggy on January 04, 2007, 11:29:58 PM
I have an opportunity to send some pictures in to an online magazine along with a short article about the location of the pictures. I have some nice shots I took while on vacation at Shaver Lake this Christmas and would like to consider using the cabins I took photos of. The question is, if something is private property, do you need to have the owners permission before using the pictures for public use? I never trespassed to take the photos, most were taken from my car on the road (while we were stuck thanks to some black ice and my hubby was putting the snow chains on. lol) Does anyone know the legalities of this?

Thanks so much. That article answered my question. Now I need to get busy writing and pick a picture.  :)
