This song is one that the youth choir i used to work with did. Bernard and I have recently agreed to start a youth choir at our current church, and I think i will start with this one. It is done with no instruments, except possible a tambouring or bongos or something.
VICTORY CHANT
Joseph Vogels
Hail, Jesus, you're my King.
Your life frees me to sing;
I will praise you all my days,
You're perfect in all your ways.
Hail, Jesus, you're my Lord,
I will obey your word;
I want to see your kingdom come,
Not my will but yours be done.
Glory, glory to the Lamb,
You take me into the land;
We will conquer in your name,
And proclaim that Jesus reigns!
Hail, hail, Lion of Judah,
how powerful you are!
Hail, hail, Lion of Judah,
how wonderful you are!

Karma have you heard Donny McClerkin do this chant.? He does it with and with out music.
I don't know if that is who I have heard do it or not. The arrangement I like best starts out without instrumetns, and then adds them in in almost a layering kinda way. Is that the one you are talking about?
A Chant?? - I'd like to hear this..
Yes Karma thats the one I think.
It's a lovely piece. Beautiful words.
This is one we sing in church frequently. I love the chant in it. Awesome.
