I saw him while I was birding at my grandparent's house.
My little sister, Chloe, (9 years old) is a butterfly freak. :) She knows a lot about them.

Got any tips for me? If you do, thanks!

It's pretty-
It's hard to get them when they move so fast. You just do the best you can and be challenged to get one good at of maybe several shots? that's what I do...
Well Done. AS juinital has said take a lot of pictures and choose the best. Also it looks like you have focused on the flowers? I could be wrong about that though.
Lovely picture. Ask your sister what kind of butterfly this is!
OK, I will ask her.
I took this picture sometime last summer, and at that time I didn't know ANYTHING about cameras; I didn't know how to focus- nothing. And I still don't know very much. But thank you very much! :)
I'm not sure if I'm right but I think it's a tiger swallowtail. : <3
I think you might be right Chloe.
Don
Chloe gets it right. It's a Tiger Swallowtail. Nice shot; I would boost the contrast just a bit to make it more appealing.
Thanks! :)
Well done Chloe!!!
Thank you. I really like butterflies. There so cool! Every day I like to read about them and look at pictures on the computer.
My favorite kind is a monarch. :rose:
