Title: Classy Lady!
Post by: InspiredGal on December 15, 2006, 04:33:37 PM
Hi,

Just learning to navigate these boards, so here's my first post here with one of my photos. It was taken on the 10th of November this year with my Panasonic DMC Lumic FZ50 with my macro lense.  :) I was thrilled with the results. I had no idea that a leaf's texture was so amazing.

Love, Karen.

That really IS amazing!  Wow!

Thanks so much for sharing this with us.  Hopefully we'll see more like this.

I would so like to go to a DSLR but still have to be happy with my Nikon Coolpix 8700.

Thank you, Pat! :)

Pat, I've also got a Nikon D70, which was given to me as a gift!!!!! Nikon's take the most incredible shots and they are such a pleasure to use. I LOVE close-up work and have many shots like the Ladybug. When I work how how to use the 'gallery', I'll submit some more.

It's such a honour to reveal His awesome beauty expressed in His creation and it's a pleasure to meet others with the same heart and passion. Praise God!

Love, :)

Crystal clarity, Karen.  This is an exquisite capture.

Just think!  This is what God sees all the time. :)

I love your camera, by the way.  I looked at the specs but couldn't see that it was DSLR.  I guess it is if you have a macro lens. haha    I have my Olympus that will have to do for a long time, but I'll enjoy seeing your photos.   Nita

Hi Nita! :)

Yes, this Panasonic Lumix is a great camera. It's not a DLSR, but it's one of the newest cameras on the market and has incredible features. With embarrasment I must admit that I'm not at all technical and didn't want a very complicated camera as I just wanted to be able to take photos on inspiration and when suddenly something caught my eye, without having to changes lenses and make many adjustments, although it does all this too! :) My husband George, chose this camera for me as he felt that the features for the price were great! One of the advantages is the great image size range. Most of my photos are taken in poster size as I plan to design a new range of Christian posters. The 12x zoom is fanastic too, but my greatest delight is the macro lense, which I had to wait 6 long weeks to get it from Japan! LOL!

Love, :)

O YES! And this just blows me away every time I see the incredible details, the intracies of His creation. I'm typing this with tears welling in my eyes, as every time I see such detail, I wonder in awe at our wonderful Creator. If He created so much detail in vast, unmeasured intelligence and wisdom, how could we doubt Him for a single minute! It's too awesome for words!!!

Love,

Tell me about your macro lens.  I love macro too.  If your camera is a point and shoot, (with lots of good stuff included!:)) how are you able to put a different macro lens on?  You said you had to wait for it, so I'm assuming it didn't come with the camera.

And I also love YOUR macro shots. :)  Nita

Hi Nita!  <3

The macro lense is attached to the end of the camera and then a few clicks are needed to change the cameras setting for macro. :) The macro lense didn't come with the camera and because it was new on the market, the accessories hadn't arrived in Australia, so we had to order the macro lense and a spare battery and waited for 6 weeks for it to arrive from Japan. I love macro work and think that I'll specalise in close-up photography, which is a such a delight with this camera. The camera has a lot of complex features to do specialised shots, but I don't know how to use it as yet, but for now I can use auto focus and point and shoot! :)

Here's a few more shots with my macro lense:
