At a Herpes show I was able to get fairly close to this creature, although I cropped in PS to attain this composition. I tried to place the colorful eye in the "Thirds" spot. Our Papa is so amazing! He created such marvelous diversity!
What a beautiful snake! We had a "reptile man" come to our church's preK-K school this year. It was amazing to see the creatures he had...a rattle snake, crocodile, HUGE albino boa that took 6 kids to get just the middle bit off the ground. The lizards that can stick to things which scientists are just now starting to figure out how they do it...something having to do with ions apparently. I don't see how anyone can really believe in macro evolution with the critters we have in the world.
Yes...a beauty, Ellette! In my heart of hearts I know that all God's creation is beautiful. I'm hard-pressed to find it in some things like mosquitoes and roaches, but I know our Papa has a purpose, even for them.
I do find just about every thing else fascinating, as I'm sure most photographers do. I was talking to a woman, just recently who confessed that she attacks snacks with a pitchfork when she sees them. Most are totally harmless, innocent creatures, that help keep rodents under control. But fear overtakes some......
1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear.
'Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, Surely I will uphold you ...Isaiah 41
Hmm...you can actually get charged with animal abuse for something like that. A kid here accidentally ran over a snake with a lawn mower but it didn't die. He picked it up and tried to kill it to put it out of its misery by hitting its head against a wall. It worked, and he felt better because he hated seeing the animal in pain. Well, he got charged with felony animal abuse because a neighbor saw him. He got off after they found out what actually happened. Good grief, if they scare you...move away!
