Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

So geraniums grow over here like a pernicious weed, but my wife loves them so what can I do.  I took a few shots, keep in mind I'm still trying to get a sense of how ISO, aperture, and shutter speed work together so these were taken on full manual.

Here is the photo untouched by Photoshop/Aperture:

Here is the same photo after a little cropping for interest and a bit of B&W tweaking:

The garden is in pretty bad shape so forgive the singed edge smack dab in the middle of the photo. All feedback welcome.  To me, the DOF is far from what I wanted but with the lens I used the lowest I could get was around 5.6 so I'm not sure what else I could do to control that.

I don't know about the technicalities. Those are beautiful pictures, both the colour and the B&W.  Well done!

A beautiful flower.  Did you use Photoshop to remove the color?

Thanks gals.

This one I happened to have open in Aperture so I used that to tweak the color. However, six in one half a dozen in the other - I use both Photoshop and Aperture depending on what mood I'm in.
