Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

I saw this bug on our window screen the other day, and I wondered what it was. I've never seen one like it. Does anyone know.

JohnBrainard

I don't know what the bug is, but you gave me a great idea.

I set up a piece of white cardboard outside with a lamp shining on it to attract moths and bugs for a little close up fun. I think I'm going to build a frame and cover it with screen. That will make a much more interesting background than white cardboard. IT'll also give the moths and bugs something better to land on.

ScottyBoy

Good idea! Let me know how it works out.

JohnBrainard

Sorry for the late reply. I lost track of this thread.... So many things to keep up with. A photo blog, two photography forums, flickr, work, family, getting out taking pictures, etc... :)

I will let you know how it works out if I get around to doing it.

Order Chrysopidae.   Good for your garden; the larvae are voracious eaters of aphids and other garden pests.

Oh, that's good to know. Thank you.

what knowledge we can draw on here at CP!  Thank you Barbarian!  Good photo's Scotty

ScottyBoy

Just out of curiosity, how do you know what kind of bug that is?

I'm a biologist.   I love entomology.   If you have any interest in it, you can get a copy of Borror and White's Field Guide to Insects of North America North of Mexico.

Great resource at a reasonable price.

Thank you for the links. I do have an interest in entomology.

Such a pretty green colour and nice wings.  That is about the extent of my bug knowlege...glad there are people who know more.  I just know...if it can bite me I'll react to it.
