I spotted this brown fungus growing on the side of a log and it put me in mind of terrace farming that is done in some Asian countries.

Wow! I agree! What a great image! I must keep my eyes on the lookout for this kind of photo as we have lots of that kind of fungus in the woods here.
We have some of that fungus on an old tree stump in our front yard. Not near as "pretty" as yours though.
Great shots. And it does look like the terraced fields.
I have always thought with my stomach, and I just can't help but wonder if this is a variety that would be yummy fried up in some real butter with a little salt and black pepper! :yum:

Judy and Al, don't you like mushrooms? Same difference. ;)
I'd be willing to try it. Can't be too much different from a mushroom.
Mushrooms are a big part of our diet, here! And these nice photos kinda got my appetite up. ;)
I love mushrooms but only eat store bought ones.
Still I do like this picture!
