Title: Science Fiction Shaver
Post by: Summicron on May 04, 2009, 09:34:26 PM
This is simply my electric razor set up in front of one of those halogen electric fires, tried to make it look like some sort of spaceship. The thing with this is, the fire was so hot that I had to set up the camera, and subject before moving the fire into position, after all what astronaut wants his ship burning up in the atmosphere? I took a meter reading off the fire before anything else.

Interesting and unusual.   I like the color, and the foreground is razor-sharp.

That's certainly a different idea!

I think you have met the challenge you set for yourself!  Just one question...did the shaver survive the heat?

Ooooh yes, I remember just what I did now, I set everything up with the fire off. I took the meter reading off the elements, first, then switched it on when everything was ready, halogen heaters like these heat up very quickly, so it was a matter of seconds to take the picture.
