Title: A not-so-typical Geranium
Post by: BigSkyKen on April 07, 2010, 11:38:29 PM
This is a Sticky-Leafed Geranium, a wildflower in our part of the world.  The flower itself is only about the size of a Quarter, which I think is a little smaller than a Loonie for our brethren to the north.  I took this in the forest after a light shower.  These must be pretty tasty to insects, because it is difficult to find them without chewed up petals.

That is just superb, Ken.   Really good DOF too!

The bud almost looks like a poppy bud.

Lovely!  Wonderful color, too.
