Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

Tonight I was invited over to Rebecca's 10th birthday dinner.  While waiting for the supper to finish cooking, I went for a little walk in the woods behind their home.

These are lovely Pat.

Next time I am in Guelph we should take a walk into the woods at Andrews.

Did you get anyother pictures?

Ok Pat that should inspire you to use your photos on cards and these other ways!

Great shots, Pat! And I agree - that first one looks like a book cover for a poetry collection!

Thanks so much for the lovely comments.

That first one sure shows the work my son did building that pathway in the woods behind his house.  I really like it too.

Maybe I'll print one and give it to them as a little gift.

Pat that would be nice, a frame for it as well.  His birthday is coming in September, would make a nice gift.

Is there anything as visually refreshing as the luminous green you see in foliage under trees?   I love that look.

And the clover.   They don't have clover in Texas, but in Iowa, it forms great carpets of blossums in early summer.   Nostalgia, indeed.   Thanks for the images, Pat.

These photos are so lovely Pat. You are such a wonderful photographer.

I am working on researching this little flower as well.  This one has eluded me so far but maybe now with fresh eyes after not having my computer for a week I may be able to find something.

Walking by faith means you see God's hand even in the most difficult of circumstances.

Pat Heather hasn't been able to find out the name of that flower either.

Have you any more that you can post?

No I don't know what the flower is called but you sure have caught it well, and the clump of dark leaves balances the whole composition, sharp where it should be, and the sunlit flower positioned nicely against the deep shadow, excellent.
The bottom flower is in complete contrast, very soft pastel tones, set off against the pale grey of the plain background.
The path, some nice dappled lighting hilighting the textures of the stones, looks like someones lost their mobile phone at the side of the stones, I'm trying to figure out what that object actually is.

Pat

Found out that the purple flower is "Crane's Bill"

Now if you'd mentioned Crane's Bill and I hadn't seen the flower I'd have thought one was a bird, yes I think we have Crane's Bill as one of our native flowers.

Al Moak

Well, my name for it isn't "Crane's Bill."  It's BEAUTIFUL FLOWER.  I agree that I'd like to walk that pathway.

kind of brings into a picture how the Garden of Gesthemene might have looked...  Very inspirational picture....
