Same day during autumn, lovely day of mist along the top path in Sunnyhurst woods, all these trees are on a very steep banking, with the floor of the woods is a hundred feet below.

A beautiful fall scene.

Oh how I long for these warmer days back. You know the thing about winter that I do love is the promise of spring.
This is a beautiful picture. Well done.
Beautiful picture. The glory of the dying leaves in the fall are a reminder of an even more glorious spring. Judy, have you read Oscar Wilde's fairytale of the Selfish Giant?
One winter morning he looked out of his window as he was dressing. He did not hate the Winter now, for he knew that it was merely the Spring asleep, and that the flowers were resting.
Suddenly he rubbed his eyes in wonder, and looked and looked. It certainly was a marvellous sight. In the farthest corner of the garden was a tree quite covered with lovely white blossoms. Its branches were all golden, and silver fruit hung down from them, and underneath it stood the little boy he had loved.

Wilde, who had lived a very wicked and selfish life himself, did, at the end of his life, accept God and baptism. He wrote that every parent should write fairytales for their children. I read this one to each of my kids when they were small. It is a wonderful tale of redemption and optimism, looking for the spring.
Thank you I will read that.
