Now this is one where I would agree with Jeanne Lee's previous assessment, "EEEWWWW! What an ugly bug." ;D :thumbsup:

Great shot, Ken! I hear that EF100mm f/2.8L Macro IS USM lens is very sharp. You did a great job with it. I like how you used f/11 with aperture-priority to get the flower and fly in focus.

Buddy, it is a great lens, and if I wasn't so lazy I would use a tripod and make much better photos with it! The DOF is paper-thin, so stopping down is required to get more than a sliver in focus. I find f/11 works pretty sweet when hand-holding and shooting in close quarters, but even then I will often shoot three or four frames and choose the best. And I am almost always an Av shooter...and sometimes that is not a good thing :-[

Buddy, as good as the lens is for close up shots, it can still do a nice job on portraits and landscapes...
