You have some beautiful flowers.
Beautiful, Don. Your expertise with plants and flowers is very obvious, as well as your ability with the camera.
Beautiful Don! Good to see more of your pictures!
So beautiful, Don.
Did you have any birds nesting in your bird box?
You have resurrected an old one Pat.
Yes Sparrows nest in them each spring, Bluebirds come every spring but they never nest for some reason. I don't know if it's because of competition from the Sparrows or if they feel too confined in my back yard. Bluebirds seem to favor open areas.

LOL Don I do that sometimes (resurrect old topics).
So, now you can add some photos of this years garden to this topic!
OK?
Well I don't think I shot any of it this year and we have had so much rain that it has gotten wild if you know what I mean. I have really let it get away from me this year.
My wife had some ornamental gourds last fall and they were thrown in the beds by the crape myrtle at the end of the growing season. They have just about covered it and now they are headed to the top of that cedar tree you see in the photo. I will look and see if I have any I took earlier in the spring. lol
Here are a few from this year. Here are the gourds that volunteered this spring.
I have gourd blooms.

WOW! Don what great photos. Are the gourds on the fence and the one up in the tree as unusual as they seem to me?
Thanks Jeanne.
I don't know how unusual they are Jeanne, my daughter gave them to us last fall to decorate with and I just threw them in the flower beds when we were through with them. They have about taken over. The vines on the back fence are cucumbers.
WOW beautiful Don!
Don, do you mean you just threw the entire gourd onto the ground and it grew? Or did you actually plant it in prepared ground - and was it the whole gourd or did you open it and use the seeds? You can tell I'm not a gardener. :D
I just threw the whole gourd in the flower bed and nature did the rest. You see two different gourds in the photos, they are not growing on the same vine, I threw more than one variety in the bed. They are all volunteers. There might be another variety in there somewhere, guess I'll have to wait for frost to kill the vines so I can find them all.
I also had a pumpkin that I threw in another bed that came up. I pulled it up after it took over the bed and started out in my yard. lol Pumpkin vines get huge.
Don, there is no question. You are more than a good photographer, you are a good gardener too! I Enjoyed looking at your garden. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you Mario, I'm glad you enjoyed the photos. :)
