Title: My first iris bloom of the season

 I feel as if I've been waiting ages for this one to bloom. The morning it did ithere was a brief rain. I just had to share it.

We have the same german iris, same color, growing right down the street from us.  Yesterday, the wind was too strong for a good shot.

 Thanks all for the kind words. An iris is so pretty, a pity they have no fragrance.

and a white one at that...Nice capture...I tend to go for blues, purples and I don't know how to do irises well-i need to find a suitable comp that I like, but you did a nice job here!!!
