I often sit on this wall to wait for a bus, if I've been up to Margery's house and want to go to Lidl's supermarket in Bolton. This time we had just been down to Ewood Park, and had just got off the bus when I noticed these poppies outside a house near the bus stop. Noticed, you could hardly miss them, with the strong sunlight making the petals literally glow against the shaded house fronts, I managed four different angles on these poppies before I was satisfied.

They are beautiful Michael.  I would have stopped as well. 

Mother had some poppies in the front yard that were lovely as well but nothing like these.

Do the homes where you live still have the rose bush hedges?

Sometimes they do but haven't noticed any in a long while.
