Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Carol: My husband Don is with the angels.....Our family was able to hold  ourselves together for the last moments.  Juar rhoufhr you might want to know. 2022-04-29, 23:35:15

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

I'm finally getting some decent roses.  This is a Rio Samba.

This is just for fun.  Not any type of "test" or "comparison". I shot the first two with the E-620 and FL-36R (bounced).

These are with the HS-10. The first one is with no flash using existing light from the window on a rainy day.  The second is with ONBOARD flash undiffused in any way.

Wow.  They are beautiful.  I love the different roses you have posted, they are all beautiful!

I am surprised at the differences between the two cameras.  Both equally good, just different.

That's mainly why I posted all of 'em, Judy.  I couldn't decide which to post heheheh

Beautiful roses.  Did you use both cameras for the same rose, or are there two different roses?

One rose, two cameras, four shots. :)

The pictures really show the differences in the cameras.

The colors are so different with the two cameras!

The E-620 is a DSLR with a MUCH bigger sensor, Judy.  I didn't really mean to "compare" cameras.  It's like apples & oranges.  But, there is a huge difference in the way the sensors and lenses handle light & colors.  I prefer to shoot with ambient light and prefer #4.  However, when I attempted to shoot that way with E-620... well, let's just say it didn't look all that spiffy :)

They're all very nice. Number 3 has more pop to it because of the contrast level, but #4 has a nice look to it also, somewhat like the roses in older rose catalogs look. For me, I guess the main question is, which shot portrays the rose closest to what it actually looks like in person, in ambient light indoors and/or outdoors in the garden?

These are really lovely, GT!
God's Word is truth, You can trust and believe what he says more than any human word!!!--"Because he loves me," says the LORD, "I will rescue him;I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call upon me, and I will answer him;I will be with him in trouble,I will deliver him and honor him. With long life will I satisfy him and show him my salvation."
