Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

These were shot on a black velvet background with natural light from a window.  They are Daybreaker, Rio Samba and Cherry Parfait roses.

WOW Magnicient roses.  Isn't our Creator amazing?  To come u withthese colours.....WOW

pao_alfonso

i agree, amazing colors. it never ceases to amaze me how God puts so much beautiful details in little things, like the dispersion of color in the veins of each rose's petal. wonderful. thanks for sharing. :)

Yes, indeed!  And, that's the MAIN reason I took up photography -- to keep me focused on how great God is.  ONLY God can do something like this.  Compare a silk or otherwise artificial rose.  They can come moderately close at a distance but, up close can't compare.

Thanks for looking and the kind words.

OOh!  Those are beautiful roses, Gary.  I have always loved the two-toned roses.
Here are a couple of roses I have photos of.  They are not two-toned, though.

This one, my daughter's beau gave her.

This one was in my mother's rose garden.

This one is a macro of the first one.  I have uses softening effects on a couple of them.

Thanks, Pao!  I love yellow roses, but it also converted nicely to black & white.

I agree, God is so awesome and man can try to duplicate with much effort, but can't compare to what God created with just His spoken Word!  So cool!  That's also why I love to take what I call "Creation Photography."  Outdoor, wildlife, people.

The yellow rose I just took at my mom's under natural light, and my lens wide open.

The red one was on my kitchen table with N light windows and my daughter held up a black piece of poster board for the back drop.

The macro red rose was the same, (I used closeup filters-aka poor man's macro lens) only I think I used a reflector or maybe even a little fill flash to keep the shadow areas somewhat open.  Fun Stuff!

Two-toned or not, they're beautiful.  It's funny how when you get something that delicate and perfect it's so easy to take an exquisite shot.  Makes ya look like ya know what yer doin'... heheheheh.  I'm still looking for my first clue  ;D

Those are so beautiful.  Yep, only God can create something so delicate yet so beautiful.  Nice images.
