Title: Yellow Border
Post by: Summicron on April 11, 2008, 04:47:46 PM
Didn't know where to put this one, its floral, its architecture, its a travel picture. It was taken outside the museum and art gallery in Salford, where the paintings of LS Lowery are on display, he never painted anything that was happy in his life. I loved the brilliance of the display of daff's set against the deep red red brick facade of the collage buildings, the actual museum is off to the right, out of shot, had to change film at this point.

They're those miniature variety, they're all over the place in March and April, whole beds of them, quite spectacular, I'm only just beginning to get some good daffodil pictures as I never seem to get the exposure right, usually overexposed, I was going to sign off just as you posted a reply. The day your getting married there is the annual 1940s weekend at the East Lancashire Railway in Bury. Tens if not hundreds of thousands of people dress up in world war 2 clothes, not costume, real wetran clothes and uniforms. German, American, British, Italian, and even Japanese, and transform 15 miles of railway back into the 1940s, its awesome where all the kit comes from, even a world war 2 tank, and endless vehicles.
