I'm looking to get two high quality lenses over the summer for my Canon 50d. The L series lenses I'm sure are beautiful but a bit more then I'm willing to spend. Sigma is a name that keeps popping up for producing high quality lenses at a considerably lower cost.
Does anyone have experience with these lenses, if so can you provide me with some personal experience feedback (good or bad)?
The two lenses I'm leaning towards:
Sigma 50mm f/1.4 EX DG HSM
Sigma 20mm f/1.8 EX DG (for wide angle) OR Sigma 100-300mm f/4 EX DG IF HSM
Currently I have two entry level EF lenses with image stabilization and I'm looking to expand.
We don't have the ones you are looking at, however we do have two Sigma lenses - both wide angle -and have been very happy with them. We have a Canon 40D and a Canon 50 D, my husband and I both shoot. We exchange lenses back and forth.

I used a Sigma 105mm Macro for many years (till I ran over it :uglystupid:). It is a little slower focusing and less apt to auto-focus as well as my new Nikon 105mm. The picture quality always seemed very good to me.
