Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

I made this home Flash diffuser from flexible cutting board material that can be purchased at most kitchen stores.
I applied Velcro for fast installation and removal.  I have excellent result, especially when shooting a portrait style photo.

This is great.  I love what you done here.  I will have to try this when I get my new camera.  Thanks so much for sharing this.

Got any ideas on how to make a defuser for a regular built in flash on the camera?

Pat

Great job, Tom.  Thanks for sharing this with us.

Thanks Sonja and Pat
Sonja, yes there is a way to add a diffuser to a built in camera flash, I used one on My Canon G2 before getting the flash unit. T will try to post a picture of one soon.
What is the camera that you have now, also what is the next camera that you plan to get? dpreview.com has the hands-down best reviews of the latest cameras.  you have a good eye for photography, I am sure you have heard that from your family and friends.

Oh, yes, Tom...  Soni is our pro on here.

Have you seen any of her work at DPC?

I wonder if I can make a link that works.  That's a difficult site to go to sometimes...

Try this:

The flash on my 707 is extremely strong.  A lot of times, I simply put a piece of tissue paper over it to be a diffuser.  I've also experimented with colored napkins -- they give a neat effect.

Sonifo

I have used a fabric softner sheet.

Karma, I will have to try the colored napkin idea.

Pat

What neat ideas!  Karma that's something I'm going to try!  Coloured tissue!

And who would have thunk!?  Fabric softener sheets!  I've not tried that!

Me neither, Pat.  I think that's what I'll do tonight, while I'm waiting for midnight.  I'll try some fabric softener shots.  And tissue paper.  This is interesting.  Thanks, guys.

Tom, I'm surprised that the cutting board material works.  I would think it would be too dense.  Oh, the things I don't know!  :)

Sonifo

I am going to go buy this today.  I bought a flash like that a month ago and I want to try it out.  Thanks!!!!
