Title: Just joined a local photo club
Post by: mfarley on January 25, 2010, 09:53:48 PM
Well I live in a fairly rural area of Northern California and the last thing I expected to find was an active photography group in town.  I found them on Flickr last night as I was organizing and I joined up.  They meet the first Tuesday of every month so I can't wait - I'm excited.

My hope is that I'll click with one or two individuals there and can once again get myself out and taking photos.  I at onetime used to go waterfall hunting here in Northern California, I'd love to start that again.

What part of Northern CAli are you in??? I have relatives near the Oregon border...they are on the coast...

Hope you have loads of fun maybe this will inspire you back to waterfalls!

Great that you found a club that interests you.  Hope it's as enjoyable as you anticipate.   ;)

And don't forget, we want to see some of the photos you gather with the new group.

I live up near Sacramento so a good 6-8 hours or so away from Oregon border I would guess unless you go up HWY 1 which would probably double that time but man it's a beautiful drive.

I spoke with the person that runs the group and I guess this next meeting is for prints, sharing, providing feedback and comments, etc. so it should be a good time to share and get acquainted with the group.  Will let you know how it goes...

Cheers
Mike
