Janet: Hello, Friends!  Let's get this going again!  I miss  hearing from all of you! 2025-01-23, 19:26:16

Don: Hey Judy, It's been a long time. Hope you are doing well. 2024-12-02, 22:41:41

JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Morning Devotional...

And Jesus answered and said unto him, What  thee?
Mark 10:51

What a question the Lord asked this blind man.

Bartimaeus is an example of true, blind faith. Though in darkness, he saw the Lord as the Son of David.n

That was more than the Pharisees saw in Him. Then in marvelous faith he responded, "Open my eyes."

How about you? He's asking, "What do you want Me to do for you?"

Lift up your eyes and through His power, reach for lofty goals today.
--Rex Trogdon

Silently now, I wait for Thee
Ready my God, Thy will to see;
Open my eyes illumine me, Spirit divine.
Clara H. Scott

Open My Eyes That I May See
(Click to hear music)

Clara H. Scott, 1895

Open my eyes, that I may see
Glimpses of truth Thou hast for me;
Place in my hands the wonderful key
That shall unclasp and set me free.
Silently now I wait for Thee,
Ready, my God, Thy will to see;
Open my eyes,
illumine me, Spirit Divine!

Open my ears that I may hear
Voices of truth Thou sendest clear;
and while the wavenotes fall on my ear,
Everything false will disappear.
Silently now I wait for Thee,
Ready, my God, Thy will to see;
Open my ears, illumine me, Spirit Divine!

Open my mouth, and let me bear
Gladly the warm truth everywhere;
Open my heart, and let me prepare
Love with Thy children thus to share.
Silently now I wait for Thee,
Ready, my God, Thy will to see;
Open my heart, illumine me, Spirit Divine!

Happy Birthday Canada[/size]
How old are you??????

Judy:  Trust you to find a silver lining in the tractor breaking down - there is less to mow.  I think I remember that you have a sewing machine - are you sewing anything?  Gotta get you onto quilting & you will enjoy it on those very chilly wintery days.

Janet:  It is just great that Beth has help & can pull up - praying that her foot will fall in the right place.  Yes, you need a treadmill test.  I had one about 5 years ago.  August is colonoscopy test for me & everyone needs that one as well.

Just sitting and reading tonight - Don has his soft music on and it almost puts me to sleep.  I am going to try going to the gym tomorrow but cannot do the treadmill or anything with my foot especially.  Hope it is healing.  We went to the library and picked up a bunch of books & one is by Pearl Buck     - one I have never read.

HAPPY CANADA DAY!!

Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass .... it's about learning to dance in the rain!

Marilyn

Good Morning. We had another wonderful  Spirit filled service last night with Sandy. She is supposed to fly out this morning. My throat is so sore from all the singing and praying. I arrived at the church at 5:30 and at 6 two more arrived and we had a Holy Ghost Filled prayer meeting. Service started at 7PM.

Today I am cleaning out Fay's shed and taking all the stuff that needs to be recycled to the recycling place. Then we are going out for lunch. She is sad that I am leaving  her for another job. I told her that I would still do her shopping and take her to her Dr. appointments. After three years with her it is such a hard decision to leave for a better job. We have had our trials and God has really tested me at times .

I have grown  in the last 3 years into a much stronger person as well as in my walk with the Lord. God is so good and I love Him so much.  This past week with all these meetings I have received much from my Father.  I feel as if  have become much closer in Him.

Thanks, Pat!  I hadn't heard nor thought of Open My Eyes in such a long time---but still remember every word of it!  8)  I love the old hymns I learned in church growing up, and we hardly sing them any more.  I feel our younger folks are missing a blessing there.  :-\

Yes, Carol, both of us should go have a colonoscopy.  We dread it and just keep putting it off...... :P  (Although I've veen told by others that it's not so bad.)  Hope your foot is better.  I miss having music in the house!  When we built this place, we put in a speaker system in every room, also an intercom system.  Neither has been finished....yet.  Last week I asked Darrel how long it would take him to finish it up, and he said not long, and that he misses the music, too.  So that day, he got busy and built a cabinet for the stereo/CD player to go on, in the closet.  Guess I will have to gently remind him again about it........

I need to call and go visit Beth.  I will take her some Bing cherries we bought yesterday, she loves those.

Time to get with the program!  See you later!

Oh!  Yes, Ritz, I have been to the gallery, do that most days.  I get so discouraged at the lack of comments when I post photos,, though.  I will sit here and post and post comments (didn't today) but hardly anyone comments on mine, so..........  I know, I know, and please don't lecture me, Pat........  :-[

G'Mornin all y'all.   :D

Marilyn I can see why Fay would be sad.  You have been very good to and for her, but you also have to be good to yourself once in a while.   ;)

Today I will be doing laundry and working on sprucing up this place a little more (vacuum and polish furniture, etc)..  I don't want my daughter(s) to decide their Mom is not capable of living alone because her home is a mess.   :-[  It has been two years (in April) since Dot and her girls were here for a visit, and that was the first and only time.  I managed to fall and break my clavicle while they were here and that caused some concern for my welfare.

:coffee: Good Morning Everyone! Y'all be to the *GALLERY* lately? ;)

Yup I have ... I always try to take at least one cruise through there every day.   :thumbsup:

I still don't feel bad but I still don't feel good either.  Still fuzzy headed and clearing my throat a lot.  Stuffy nose.  Eyes dry and watery...how can that be?  Other than that, I am fine.  I went to bed with Vicks and extra blankets.  Even the girls kept me warm last night.

I needed to go to the bank today but I can do that Monday when I go to my Urologist.  I missed my appointment in June...first time ever I missed a doctor's appointment.  But, bless their hearts, they rescheduled me for Monday.  I will keep my appointments with Dr. Beam for as long as I am breathing.  Prayer needed for my bladder to be cancer tumor free, please!

Not much going on today.  Catch up on here and fix a bite to eat.  Then hopefully, I can run my sweeper.  Seems the girls have a running tournament while I am gone...all the throw rugs are askew and we won't mention the cat hair everywhere!

Do you all realize 2006 is half over??

And that means Christmas will soon be here!  :o  Do any of you remember how LONG it used to be between Christmasas?   ???  What happened?? :o

THE FAMILY was viewing old slides and one flashed on the screen that caught everyone's attention. My father, wearing his favorite golf shirt, was holding me at the tender age of three weeks. The look on his face told all. "There's my prize possession," my father said. Touched, I smiled at him as he continued, "I wonder whatever happened to that golf shirt?"

So glad you enjoyed that, Janet!  It seemed to fit right in with the devotional today and I didn't have it so searched the web for it.  Just finished singing through it.  Love it.  Good message in the verses...  "Eyes" then "Ears" and then the "Mouth"

 :D  Good day to everyone and especially to Pat and other Canadians.

Here's a little fun for you all!  (thanks Pat for making me familiar with that web site.

http://www.jigzone.com/z.php

This one is especially for you.

I, too, have always liked the song in your morning devotional.  It is really uplifting, I think.  I found another one that I like on a web site - the Shaker song, "Simple Gifts".  I have been trying to download that midi - but I guess I don't know how.  My daughter said that she would do it for me later today.

I'll be back later after I visited the Gallery.

I'm feeling great again except for Allergic Rhinitis.  I think I'll just stay in as much as I can today.  Everyone have a great weekend.

Happy Canada Day

Janet:  I get discouraged many many  times but if someone fails to respond to your beautiful work do not worry. When I was the caregiver for mother I felt that I was getting slapped in the face and kicked in the ..........   all with very little thanks or at least that is how I felt. Perhaps it was because I was functioning on air.  Although my efforts are now being recognized by other family members.

I am not so sure that living in town is such a wonderful thing the ice cream truck drove past and my wonderful hubby treated me to a cone.  More calories that I really do not need. At least he thought of me.

Mel is outside do some tiding, then tomorrow we will be going to Sue's trailer to deposit the wood for them to use on campfires.

Judy:  Sorry to hear about your riding tractor - perhaps if you get some goats they will keep it cut for you.

I have plants to water and some tiding to get done.

Hi Ruth...

Thanks for the PM and the news of Langdon's.  I remember all those folks.  Say "Hi" if you see any I know for me.

Marilyn

Hello again. Here I am relaxin' in front of my computer so I decided to get online and post here. Actually I was only sitting in my office chair watching the news. Before Monday I have to move my big plastic tubs out from under the tarp and lay down two more pallets to put my new shed on. I will do that after church tomorrow. The shed will be delivered on Monday and I will put it together when I get home from work.

Tuesday Jan and I are going to rent the movie Nanny McPhee and order pizza instead of me working that day. Tuesday evening we are having a picnic at the church with fireworks afterward. I wont stay for fireworks, I  want to be here for Happy, he is so frightened of those loud noises.
