Don: Hey Judy, It's been a long time. Hope you are doing well. 2024-12-02, 22:41:41

JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Morning Devotional...

At Athens alone.
1 Thessalonians 3:1

Paul found himself alone in the great city of Athens yet saw an opportunity for the gospel, and took it. As a result some were saved.

It is possible to be lonely even in a busy city. Loneliness can give us time to reflect, without interference, advice or persuasion.

The Lord Himself spent His lonely times in prayer and was forsaken and alone at Calvary when He accomplished His greatest work. If you are alone today, then pray, evangelize, reflect; and give thanks for the opportunity of being alone.

If you are never lonely, then you do need to make time to be alone with God.
--Roy Hill

When storms of life around me are beating,
when rough the path that I have trod,
Within my closet door retreating,
I love to be alone with God.

Kneel at the Cross
(Click to hear music)

Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name
that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confesss that
Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Philippians 2:9-11

by Charles. E. Moody

Kneel at the cross,
Christ will meet you there,
Come while he waits for you;
List to his voice,
Leave with him your care
And begin life a new.

Refrain
Kneel at the cross,
Leave every care
Kneel at the cross,
Jesus will meet you there.

Kneel at the cross,
Give your idols up,
Look unto realms above;
Turn not away
To life's sparkling cup;
Trust only in His love.

Refrain

Carl and Marilyn, would you try to edit your files now and see if you can?  I changed a setting.

I'm so sorry about this.

QuoteHere's a question for you all who have photos in your albums in the gallery.

In your own albums when you are looking at a photo, do you see "Edit File Information" under the photo and if you click on it are you able to maybe change the title of the photo or add a description, etc?

Please let me know.

Well, Pat ... I'm late getting here and seeing your request, but I didn't have a problem with anything.  Probably your changing the setting was what it needed.   ;)

When I first click on my gallery, I see the following 3 options beside each one of my 3 albums: "Delete; Properties; Edit Files".

When I'm looking at an individual photo  in one of my 3 albums, I don't see any options at all until I click on a photo, and then I see the following 3 choices: "Crop and Rotate; Edit file information; DELETE THIS FILE", and yes, after clicking on edit I have been able to change my written info.
I hope that helps?  :)

Hmmmm, I was just editing my album, creating 2 sub albums, and that worked fine.

Ok, I went back and tried it without any problem.

Hi everyone.  So happy to come here and read the good news about the little baby that Alma brought to our attention.

Janet and Darrell, Happy Anniversary on your 25th.  When do you leave on your trip to China?  If you have said I have forgotten.

Pat, am sure those two grandchildren will keep you occupied.  What ages are they?

Etta Sue, you certainly have a full week ahead.  It sounds like you need an appointment secretary.  :)

Pat and I are going to go back to our pastor's Bible class this morning.  We went last week and really enjoyed it and got a lot out of it.  It will soon be time for coffee.  Hope everyone has a nice day.

The Defender
I have read this quote many times and wondered where it originated.  But - I don't know what The Defender means.  The idea is true.

Pat:  I check my old album and everything looks fine.

Larry:  You mentioned working at Coor's.  When my youngest sons moved here - they took on shift work at the bottle area and it was great because they could look for their jobs during daytime.  Daughter worked at their credit union at one point.  But - did you read that (I won't name him) one family member of the beer company has lost his driver's license for DUI?  Am glad to hear that - however, many people have many DUI's and never lose their license.  The entire family is "different".

Marilyn:  I saw your pictures.  Are they not the sweetest horses?

Pat:  Can you put a bed in the basement?  We have beds downstairs when needed.

Janet:  Happy 25th!  We never had that celebration because Don had lost his job & with 4 children in school and myself, there were five of us working & barely making it.  Don's sister & husband drove to see us and took us out for dinner & that was such a wonderful gift.  Enjoy your celebration.

I am having coffee with two friends who share birthdays today & Don made pens for them - I made cards.

Have a blessed day/night everyone.

Carol

Great morning to everyone!

Pat, mine works fine now.

Walking by faith means you see God's hand even in the most difficult of circumstances.

Janet

Good morning!  Pat, enjoy your grands while you can.  They do grow up so fast!!

Thanks to all of you for the nice anniversary wishes.  We had a quiet day, and a nice supper/dinner here at home.  We marinated some steaks and grilled them (indoors!) had rice and gravy, salad and jello.  Both Beth and Diane remembered, and wished us a happy anniversary.

Larry, we are leaving on July 28.  The countdown is getting closer each day!  I'm glad we're going now, as it may get too dangerous to be traveling before long.  The terrorists are planning attacks all over the place, here as well as Israel and other peaceful countries.  I'm SO glad God is in control!  :o

I need to go get a few things from Beth's house for her, then make sure her place is locked and secure.  One less thing to worry about while we are away.

Carol, if Darrel and I had met and married when we were young, we would have had a lot more anniversaries than 25.  Buit better late than never, right?

Time to go work out!

candiceloves

well good morning everyone!  :)

today's wednesday and that mean's youth group later on, which i like, a lot. except there's a special meeting for a stupid situation going on with a lot of the youth, which, me, being one of them, and i am thinking, we have to miss youth group, how stupid.

but before youth group, we were supposed to be going down the crosswalk office, except my mom had to take my aunt connie, her sister down to the hospital. she was very weak and was dizzy. she started like that yesterday i think, and came home from work but this morning she had a doctors appointment and they told her to go to the hospital. mom told me she would update me when she could, considering in the hospital you never know whats going on, or how long you're going to be.

i on the otherhand, will be here, alone [my dad's dad went somewhere?] doing school on the pool deck, because Praise God for it being cooler, but it is still so humid. hope everyone has a spectacular wednesday!

with love,
candice.

Well, today's a golf day for me (my favorite line from Chi Chi Rodriquez..."When I pray over a putt, I never pray to make it, I pray that I'll behave properly if I miss it").  I have a new printer being delivered today.  I'm replacing my Canon i960 with an Epson R1800.  Tonight is bible study (no dinner this week ... guess I have to cook or dine out afterwards).

Walking by faith means you see God's hand even in the most difficult of circumstances.

Janet

Seems everyone has errands today.  After our workout, we took Beth by some stuff, came home and got Dinah (cat) and took her to have her stitches removed.  While at the vet's we picked up a copy of Beth's dog Mieka's shot record, as Beth wants to enter her in the dog show at the fair on Firday. Maybe Mieka will win for Best Smile.  :) ^-^

Now we need to go to town yet again and do a little something at the bank.

Ohenry, have fun goofing, er, I mean golfing!  ;)  It is much too hot for that activity here!

Later, Peeps...(as Soni used to say.)

Thanks everyone for your feedback.  I'm so glad that you all can edit your photos and change things.  Just don't click on the "delete albums" buttons!

I'm off to try to get the back lawn cut.

Larry, Kathleen is 18 and Jonathan is 11.

No, she doesn't get to keep her dog there.  So I take Mieka often to visit Beth.  Not the best, but what can we do?  :-\

I have mowed the yard and now I have showered and washed my hair, I feel so much better.  Nice and cool here warm outside, the temp is 61° . It sure is funny to hear people complain about the heat here when it is only in the 60's.

Bile Study tonight. I think it is #6 in the John Bevere series.

I went to bed at 7 PM last night I was so tired. I sure slept good though. Thankful for that.

Whew!  I am tired.  The zoo about did me in.  Lots of walking and the temp was in the 90's.  I don't think there was a dry thread on me.  I think one of medications makes me not tolerate heat too well.  Then we went to a State Park to take some photos too.

I saw the cutest thing at the zoo.  A little monkey was sucking his thumb and playing with his hair...just like a little kid.  I think maybe it was taken from its mommy too soon...but it was so cute!

I got home around 4:30 pm and mowed...more heat and I do have pink arms and legs.  I then showered and started some laundry.  I have eaten my dinner and now getting caught up online.

But I am tired.  And I have to get up at 5 am tomorrow to get Walter to Grand Rapids for his 1 pm appointment.  Then tomorrow evening I plan to take a swim and RELAX!!

I'll be back later.  I have my little light on over my desk....a reminder that I am not done yet at the computer!!

Al Moak

Well, it didn't happen.  Marbeth didn't go for surgery today.  They called us late yesterday to tell us that it had been postponed because the hospital migh possibly lose power, and they didn't want to be in the middle of an operation when (and if) it did.  So it's now scheduled for Friday morning.

Nita

Al, I was just coming in to see the outcome of Marbeth's surgery! :)

So now we wait till Friday.  Is the waiting hard on her?  on you?  Why would the hospital think they'd lose power?

I'm headed to look at galleries.   Blessings all, nita

Oh, my goodness, Al!  I'm sorry about the delay.  Those are difficult. Went through that with Jack often.

Hi everyone else.

So happy to read all your posts.

I Cannot Tell
(Click to hear music]

Psalm 64:10
"The righteous shall be glad in the Lord, and shall trust in Him."

Words by W. Y. Fullerton
Tune Londonderry Air (Traditional Irish Melody)

I cannot tell why He, whom angels worship
Should set His love upon the sons of men,
Or why, as Shepherd, He should seek the wanderers
To bring them back, they know not how or when.
But this I know, that He was born of Mary
When Bethlehem's manger was His only home,
And that He lived at Nazareth and labored,
And so the Savior, Savior of the world, is come.

I cannot tell how silently He suffered
As with His peace He graced this place of tears,
Or how His heart upon the cross was broken,
The crown of pain to three and thirty years.
But this I know, He heals the broken hearted
And stays our sin and calms our lurking fear,
And lifts the burden from the heavy laden,
For yet the Savior, Savior of the world, is here.

I cannot tell how He will win the nations,
How He will claim His earthly heritage,
Or satisfy the needs and aspirations
Of east and west, of sinner and of sage.
But this I know, all flesh shall see His glory,
And He shall reap the harvest He has sown,
And some glad day His sun will shine in splendor
When He the Savior, Savior of the world, is known.

I cannot tell how all the lands shall worship
When at His bidding every storm is stilled,
Or who can say how great the jubilation
When all the hearts of men with love are filled.
But this I know, the skies will thrill with rapture,
And countless voices then will join to sing.
And earth to heaven, and heaven to earth will answer:
"At last the Savior, Savior of the world, is King!"
