Janet: Hello, Friends!  Let's get this going again!  I miss  hearing from all of you! 2025-01-23, 19:26:16

Don: Hey Judy, It's been a long time. Hope you are doing well. 2024-12-02, 22:41:41

JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Good morning, everyone!

It's wonderful to read of all your activities, good doctors reports and plans for Christmas.  :)

Today it will be very busy with last minute shopping for Christmas. My third son, Joshua, turns 10 on Christmas Eve, so we have a double celebration.

Yesterday we finished setting up my photo exhibtion that will run for 6 weeks. All the proceeds go towards our return to India as missionaries. We had a wonderful day with all the children so wiillingly helping George and I with the work. :) We completed the day with praise and worship inside the Art Gallery!  :)

Here's a few pics of the Art Gallery, which is set in magnificent hilly bushland about an hours drive from our home.

May you all know His love, embrace, strength and help throughout this day!

Love, :)

Karen, it apears you have lots of good light for the exhibition.  I hope you sell out!!  God bless.

I have been out taking photos of the glories of nature, have a bunch compressed and ready to post.  By the way, how do you p;ost pictures in this thread?  :-\  Everything is sparkling in the sunlight, as the sun melts the ice and snow off every object outdoors.  It's just beautiful, and I love it!!

Now I see--the photos have to be much smaller to go in here, huh?  So I will go quickly and post four in my gallery---wanna come see?

Well Everyone is saying "gotta go"  I am stopping.  I have finished the shopping, groceries and all.  I am home for a quiet evening and weekend.

Pat where are you spending Christmas?  Want to come up here?   The weather is good for driving....it will only take about 5 hours....what about it?  We have a spare bed for you.

We took mother out shopping today.  She enjoys that.  We will pick her up for the candle light service then back here for the night and Christmas day.  I am looking forward to Christmas at home.  last year was at Bonnie's.

Well I am going, no running here, and will be back tomorrow
Love and blessings to everyone.  Drive safely

Hi everyone..been reading all your posts and seeing how you are all getting on. I have not forgtten any of you! <3

Hi Karen from Australia...thank you for visiting my website and leaving your lovely comments. I do hope you sell lots of photos. I have hit a problem with my tunnel. I have broken all the pickshafts so I have went to look for some explosives. If you feel an eartquake...that will be me! ;)
I remember my farmer neighbour had a 40ft. chimney built in the middle of one of his fields. I said that was a funny place to have a chimney and he looked at me and said....Colin..it was meant to be a 40ft.well but the stupid eejit of a builder had the plans upside down! :uglystupid:

Kevin:  I send my little prayer for your ministry.

Pat:  Thanks for the verse today.  It is one of the traditions of this time of the year and so welcome.  What are you doing for Christmas.  That is so nice that you could only drive 5 hours to see your sister and family.

i baked banana bread, sewed another quilt top, and packed my suitcase.  Have a long list of groceries needed and now we only must get shoveled out of here.  Not feeling ver patient about this - I should be ashamed as there are still thousands trapped at the airport.  Poor people.  Our oldest son was to fly in here today and he can't get out of Seattle until Sunday - even though he had a ticket but they overbooked by 100 people per flight & bumped him.  He flys so much that I am sure he could have pressured them to take him.

Hi y-all did ya miss me. (I don't think so) ya probably didn't even notice that I was AWOL for a few days. I've been here every day reading but didn't have anything to say other than the usual boring stuff about my plans for the day.

I've received some very nice compliments as well as gifts from my clients as well as from their families. I am just praising the Lord that I am able to be a servant of the Most High and do His work here on earth. I thank God for my good Health and ability to be able to care for His children who can no longer care for themselves.

I went by to see Fay yesterday and took her a fleece sweater jacket because I know how cold she gets during the winter. She is not doing so well as her legs are getting weaker by the day. She is 97 now .

TBear it was good to see you here today, and you have a lovely  Curio Cabinet.

Karen (Inspired Gal) I pray your  pictures will bring you  enough to finance your mission trip to India.

Janet How is your leg doing? Is it getting better?

Etta Sue you amaze me  that you can eat out so often and actually enjoy the meals. I would get so tired  of  those kind of meals unless of course it was always Mexican food. Then I could eat every meal out. I guess I just try to eat as healthy as possible and  restaurant food isn't my  idea of healthy food. Especially the fast food places. I also like Mediterranean type foods.

Larry glad to hear you got a good report from the Urologist. How is Pat?

I am making Vegetable soup on Christmas eve for the family,. Gilbert, Sarah and the two kids. Vegetable soup was a tradition in my family when I was young, My Grandmother always made Vegetable soup and Oyster stew and the rest of the family brought the  deserts and salads.  I decided to carry on the tradition. Except for the Oyster stew. I have never eaten Oysters so I don't know if I would like them. Any way this part of the family isn't  big enough to have all that food.

Well that's all folks I don't want to bore you.

Hi Judy...

I'm going up to Janice's.  I was also invited by Ian but after Janice invited me.  Thanks for the invite.  Not sure about my car either as I might need to be thinking of brakes.

Well I have to work the weekend, but I have Christmas day off 8)
I haven't been on line much, since my home system is still not set up. I bought a new computer, but have not had time to set up my DSL modem yet.
The Christmas cards are going out late this year, again. We tried taking a family photo at home this time with our digital camera, then taking the card to a photo shop to have custom Christmas cards made. Well they were ready the next day, but neither of us has been able to go and get them :'(
When I get my home system up and on line, I will post the photo here, but don't expect it before Christmas I'm too busy!

Good Morning to all.

Pat I do enjoy those great old hymns and they bring many memories from Sheppard ave.

Judy B. I did do some humming over those hymns but too late to be singing them and you can see what I said too Pat. Praying for you and John and the ministry.

Things are going well in Welland Ontario but it seems so unusual not to have any snow especially  whenI was able to just get a fantastic deal on an older snow blower that looks like new and it starts with an electric starter.  But I may not get to use it much if we dont get snow. It must be so hard for all the people who are stranded at airports and there whole Christmas plans are ruined.

Well I must get to bed as we have our family get together tomorrow around 1-00 p.m. so the Lord bless you all and if I dont get back on till after Christmas  have a great one and a happy New Year.  Gord.

Jeannine

Good Morning All,

I see that everyone is just busting at the seams with activities. I hope and pray everyone enjoys themselves and thier loved ones, and is so Blessed by it all.

Yesterday afternoon we had to take Michael to Emergency because his trach broke, he wasn't in any distress, as a matter of fact he was laughing about it. :uglystupid: Silly boy, takes after his mom 0:-). It only took a couple of hours and everything turned out fine. They also gave him an antibiotic cream to put on the site as it has a tiny scratch but still looks great.

Santa is coming this morning on his Harley to see Michael again this year, I'll try to get a picture of it to post. He sure is a popular little boy, and so very much loved by all who meet him.

Ok, gotta go. Everyone have a God-filled and Blessed day! Talk to y'all later.

Trusting,
<><Jeannine

Hi, everybody!  I will attempt to put that p;icture here, so I can tell you about it.  Thanks, Pat.......

This is one of the icy pictures I took over the past couple of days.  It shows the bottom of our old satellite dish, all decorated with snow and icicles.  Every twig and blade of grass was encased in ice, and when the sun came out yesterday, it was a veritable winter wonderland.  A world of sparkling diamonds--thank you, God, for eyes to see the beauty in the midst of the storm!

I hope Michael has a great day, including the visit from Santa.  He reminds me so much of a little boy I spent many hours with in the Lakin hospital when I was driving a lady there for dialysis three days per week.

Abby and I have errands to run and gifts to deliver.  See you later!

Well, it still doesn't work for me.  Oh, well, I'm probably still doing something wrong.  Gotta run!

Pat ~ I am going to my sister's for Christmas day and it is only 70 steps!   ;D  ;)  I love living this close to Ivalou and Kaye Don.

Colin ~ Loved you funny today.  Poor guy couldn't even read a blueprint right!

Jeannine ~ On TV the other night showed a bunch of Harleys with Santas on them taking gifts to children.  Those big, burly guys...some of them are big and burly and rough around the edges...do have heart's of gold.

Karen (tbear) ~ What a beautiful curio cabinet!  Can't wait to see it.  And do you collect certain items?

Larry ~ Your morning coffee get togethers sound like so much fun.  Women don't seem to do that.

Janet ~ Hi!  Your snowy icy photo is very pretty.  I love new fallen snow before it is drove/walked on.  And before it gets ucky brown from pollution.

Joyce ~ Hi there!  Glad you stopped in before leaving for a few days.  Are you going to Pennsylvania?

Karen ~ What a wonderful place to show your photos.  I, too, hope you sell the rafters!!

JudyB ~ Again, I am only 70 steps from my sister.  Love it.  But even then, it can be cumbersome to carry lots of things over there.

Kevin ~ Merry Christmas to you and your family as well.  You will be celebrating before we do so have a great time.  Don't eat too much!

Carol ~ I have seen on the news how much snow Denver has but also heard that in Canon City, there is no snow.  I sure do hope that everyone can get to their destinations for Christmas in your area but most of all, I pray for travel safety for all.

Marilyn ~ I did wonder where you were.  Thought maybe you went to a seminar about your business.  And yes, caregivers are special people and you deserve all the praise that you receive.

Samantha ~ Merry Christmas to you, too!

Gord ~ Congratulations on your snowblower and I am sure you will get use out of it before March 21 when springtime is announced.

I don't have anywhere to go today.  Ivalou just called me and told me who she thought might be at her house Christmas day so she is going to the grocery.  I asked her to get me some milk since the expiration date on mine was the 19th.  I don't think it will be good 'til after Christmas.  So later today I will have milk delivery!! That's how us sister's work!

Hi all,

One of the gifts my daughter has already got is a cell phone with camera.  I think she has an eye for photography as shown in the self portrait she made.  If I can get it on here I will.  She is only 11.

Good Morning I have already been for my work out at Curves, I have to leave for work in just a few minutes. But I wanted to come in here and thank Babycakes and Etta Sue for acknowledging  that I was here.

This time of year has always been a tough one for me even as a young mother. Now that I am way older than that  and live alone with  my two dogs, it  seems to  be the same every year even though  Gilbert and his family are close by. It just isn't the same as someone living in the same house with me.

It seems that when I have reached out to others they don't even know I am around. I have come to think of you all as family and it hurts when I say things to others and they don't even bother to answer me.  So when I go AWOL again you will all know why.

Sorry, Marilyn.  :-[ As you know: I go AWOL most of the time.   ;)  That's just me, though.  I feel as Mary Frances expressed today "timid" although I don't know that I'd use that word for myself.   :)

I live alone too ... not even any pets ... and it is a little rough around the holidays, but I really don't mind.  I know that today my daughter Joy, and Bryan, will be meeting at the home of Tim (Jean's oldest son) for a get-together with her entire family.  All four of her kids, their spouses and children will be there -- even Mike!  I told her to be sure and take lots of pictures because that's the only way I will ever be able to see them.

That's just the way life is ... I love my quiet little home where I am alone with Jesus every day!  My Father takes such good care of me!

On that note, let me tell y'all the rest of the story about my car:

I finally got to bring it home on Thursday evening.  The entire cost was $23.  That's $20 labor and $3 for the part and the gas they had to put in for me.  I am soooo blessed!

Hello Mary Frances!   :hello:  It's good to see you here!  I'm glad you remembered how to post here.

Janet~That is an amazing photo--as are the others you have placed in the gallery.  I love such signs of God's love and artistry!

Etta Sue~I think it's really neat that you and your sister and brother live so close and can get together whenever you want.  My sister who lives in Missouri just wrote me that she moved into her own apartment (3 blocks from the house where she was staying) last weekend.  She says she needed her own space.  I do so understand !!   ;)

By the way, I really love all the graphics you invent and post here every day.  You are so good at such things!

And COLIN~   What can I say but Thank You for all the great poems and fun jokes you bring to us each day.  Please have a very Blessed Christmas and enjoy your family to the fullest!

I'm sorry to be leaving so many of you out but please know that I read all your posts and love you all as family.  God Bless You ALL!
Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass .... it's about learning to dance in the rain!

Liz

Good morning from soggy Vancouver Island.  Golly, I thought everyone knew my home is on the West Coast..... :o

Storms still keep coming.  Fortunately rain rather than snow.  Tho' at this stage, wet in any form is not welcome.  High winds again last night.  Wendy said that one night Squeek (cat) was actually growling at the noise.  Ever heard a cat Growl??  Now me, I feel about ready to HISS!

Was a little ill so have not been coming to read until today.  So didn't know you were missing Marilyn...glad that you are back!  Like everyone, getting ready for the Christmas Day and doing a bit of baking.  Making dinner for the kids tonight as Wendy not well...in so much pain.  I am going to make some mince tarts this afternoon.  Made my 'much in demand' butter tarts yest.

I live alone in my suite in the kids house, but sure rarely alone.  For which I am truly grateful, not happy without being around people for part of the day.  Like to be alone down by the water at the beach, or things of that sort.  Spent many lonely years living alone in my Condo, so this is nice way to end my senior yrs.  Read something sort of nice about the downward path.....

"Lord, now that you are letting Your servant depart in peace...for my eyes have seen your salvation.:  Luke 2:29-30

Went on to say how it takes a lot of faith to climb a mountain, but it takes just as much faith to climb down.  Can your faith carry you down the sunset trail to the very end, with joy in your spirit?  Yes, it is possible.  :)
With Christ as your guide, you and I will come to the end of life with pride behind us, love around us, and hope ahead of us.  That is bowing out gracefully.

                                          :)

Did anyone watch the Barbara Walters Special about Heaven....?  So many different thoughts and confusion about the subject.  Glad that we are not confused. <3

Have a wonderful Christmas everyone.

Pleasant Day/Evening and God Bless.

Liz
CHANGE NOT THY FAITH WITH CHANGING TIMES

Janet

Thanks for bailing me out yet again, Pat.  I went over that letter by letter three times and didn't notice the missing "g".  :-[

Marilyn, thanks for the pretty ecard, very nice.  We all feel "overlooked" at times, nothing unique about that!  Merry Christmas, anyway.  You are never alone, Jesus lives there with you, and in you!

Jane, what a wonderful thing--for your car's bill to be so low!  God does look out for you, doesn't He?  :)

MARY FRANCES!!  Hello there---so good to see you again!  I hope you will feel 'emboldened' to come in and say howdy more often.

I am really tired.  Abby and I have been baking and making things to eat for hours.  Now I'm taking a break, then will do the pie crusts, may wait until tomorrow to make the fillings.

Liz, sorry you are still getting soaked up there.  Seems the moisture could be spread out more to those who really need it, but it doesn't often happen that way.  Hope Wendy gets to feeling better soon, wish she would try the products!  :-\  Try to stay warm and dry, and don't work too hard.

Etta Sue, I think it's just wonderful that you and your Sis (and bro) get along so well and enjoy each other.  That's the way families should be.

Babycakes, nice phone picture of your cute girl.  Boy, times have really changed, haven't they?  Even younger kids than her want cell phones now.  If used properly, I can see how they are a help to the parents, in keeping up with the kids.

I'm going to post some more photos, then rest a bit.

Well This must be the year for renewing acquaintences.  John has located our best man/maid of honour and they will be living about 2 hours from us ciome summer.

We have had the girls baking today and we have cookies galore.  It is so nice to have them interested in the "feminine arts".

Marilyn I understand how you feel, been there done that, but you know our Lord does respond immediately.

Your picture Janet is amazing.  I enjoy the photos, even though I don't alwaysl comment.

Gord enjoy the family, see if you can get some family pictures to post.  Pat can help you with that.  Hopefully we will be down your way soon.

We still are having lots of rain, no snow.   One good thing about rain is that you don't have to shovel it. Or in Gord's case snow blow it!

Well I am on a bread baking run so I will close and continue with that job.  I really enjoy baking bread.  (Especially with a bread machine!)

May your weekend be blessed.
