Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Morning Devotional...

TRUE PATRIOTISM

The heart of the Bible's teaching concerning national life is summed up in one verse found in Psalm 33:12, "Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord."  This was the premise upon which our country, The United States of America, was founded.  Any honest student of history must admit that our nation's founding fathers intended our country to be "A Nation Under God."  The founders of our institutions were committed to the Christian faith.  The laws of our country and its jjuris-prudence are based upon the Scriptures as the Word of God.  No nation has more righteous laws than ours, and these are based upon the Ten Commandments.  National and state legislatures are opened with prayer to God.  We use the Christian calendar.  Certainly God has blessed our nation during the first two centuries of our existence.

However, I believe that our nation is in danger of losing the blessings of God.  In the third chapter of Zephaniah we read of God's pronouncement of judgment upon a nation that rebels against God, and true patriotism is seen in calling the people of our country to repentance and submission to Almighty God.  Patriotism means that we will be law abiding, but also that we make every effort to assure that our laws are based upon God's eternal truth.  It is not enough to just sing "God Bless America," but we must all work to make America the kind of a nation that God can truly bless.

(I hope those of you in Canada, Ireland, England, and other countries will indulge me for posting this in honor of our Independence day this July 4th.  Of course, what applies to making America a Godly nation also applies to every country.)   jd

I'll pass on the pie too many calories and carbs. I'll just have some strong Green tea with Stevia. Thanks Janet.

Thanks for the pie, Janet!  Delicious!  I so appreciate your getting it ready for all of us.

I've brought some Irish Wheaten Bread and it goes nicely with freshly made Lemon Curd!

Enjoy!

Hi everyone.  A gourmet feast here this morning with cherry pie and bread.  Guess I won't need anything else to eat.  :)

We had a lovely rain here last night.  It came down pretty hard for over 30 minutes so we should have gotten enough to do some good for a few days.  There is a chance we will get more later today.

Not much on the schedule today other than going with Pat to have her eyes checked.  Her eyes are very sensitive and after the drops she was afraid she wouldn't be able to drive safely so I will drive her.  I had my eyes tested a couple of months ago but didn't have any trouble driving with my dark glasses on.

Janet, thanks for the patriotic devotional.  It is so sad to see our country so quickly moving away from any mention of God in our public speak and life.  Our society deteriorates and we wonder why as a society.  We need to get back to our foundations.

Pat and our other Canadian friendes, Happy Canada Day.  I suppose I am a day late as usual.  Jane, glad you were alert.

Al, we also have good landscapers.  I have used them for several years and they keep my yard very neat and tidy.  They come every two weeks except during 3 winter months when it is once a month to tidy up.

Etta Sue, sounds like a great party.  Glad you were able to attend and enjoy the event.  Hope you slept better last night.

Janet, with your arm not feeling good I am sure you were happy that Abby had a little friend to play with yesterday.

Marilyn, our cat never liked the noise of the fireworks.  There are also great dangers of fires with things being dry and with some of the items landing on roofs.

Ruth Ann, sure can relate to the headaches like you just had.  Glad it is over.  I used to have those almost every weekend but now it has been a number of years since I have had one.  Now the headaches are mild and related usually to sinus problems.  It sounds like your insurance company must have you mixed up with someone else.  Wonder if that is deliberate to avoid paying claims with delays, etc.  I wonder if others in your company are having similar problems?

We had a nice day yesterday.  We had a good church service and then nine of us went out to eat.  We got home about 2 pm, I rested an hour and then called a friend and we met for an hour or so at a McDonalds.  I then stopped at Radio Shack and got a new set of headphones.   These are the noise canceling type and had been $50 but were being discontinued and they had them on sale for $19.95.  I went ahead and bought them but they have to have them delivered from another store today so I won't pick them up until tomorrow.  I then went over to the Wal-Mart to get a few items we needed and that saves me a trip today.  Needless to say I was ready to retire fairly early last night.

Are any of you watching "The Next Food Network Star" show on the Food Network.  It has been quite interesting and is certainly no cake walk.  They are now down to the last 4 and they all have been challenged.  In the program last night they all did a terrible job with their cooking demonstrations and the judges were wondering if they should send them all away and start again.

About time to leave for coffee.

Janet, thank you for the devotional.  I firmly believe that God gave us our nation and that He gave us to our nation.  The result is that we are responsible to do all we can to see that it continues as a God-centered nation.  Obviously, we have slipped badly.  We should all pray for restorative grace, and we should also write our congressmen/senators - whether we think it does any good or not.

Nevertheless, I want to complain to the proprietor here - cyber pie just isn't the same, and I resent being told there's pie, coffee, tea, etc., etc., when I don't get any.  Damn the calories, and full plates ahead!

Etta Sue

Good morning!  I am from USA and I had a great Canada Day yesterday!

I slept good last night even though I had a wonderful nap yesterday afternoon.  I must be caught up on my sleep once again.

Kitty and Bob were in St. Louis last week and got home yesterday afternoon.  Kitty and I will probably go to Hobby Lobby for matte board this afternoon or tomorrow afternoon.  I need to mow so I think I will do that as soon as I get caught up online.

So, with that being said....I can't dawdle around!

Good morning, Already Lifeline has called me  for Ruth wanting to know what time I would be there. I left a big sheet of paper on her reading machine with my  name, phone number and the time I would be there in huge black letters.
So I am already calling on the Lord to get me through today with good thoughts, a peaceful mind and a calm spirit.

It looks to be another wonderful day. Yesterday was perfect, the weather and temperature with perfect 75°, just what I love I am so glad to be out of the desert and here in McKinleyville.

Larry our nearest Walmart is 75 miles away. If it was closer I would be there pretty often. The one in Crescent City is small and crowded, I doubt we will ever get one here.

Janet I would love to learn how to matte pictures. Etta Sue you are so blessed to have a friend to help you. It cost me $18.00 to have 1 photo matted. The rest I was able to buy mattes for. These mattes will be used again.

Got to go to work now. All Y-all have a great and blessed day.

Happy Birthday Alma!

I have been scarce here lately.  I am having major computer problems.  My server says it is my computer and my computer tech says it is the server.  So I am in a catch 22.

Everyone go to the photography forum and click on Pets.  Then take a look at Pat's addition to her family!  A real sweetie!

I am outside pulling weeds in the garden with the girls.  Great life lessons here.  I am really upset though.  Pat took some pictures of the deer we have in the back forty, and I was glad that they were there.  Now I am ready to pull out the rifel.   They have eaten all but about 6 pea plants andmost of 4 rows of beans.  Yes I know it's the deer, they have distinctive footprints.  Time to leave the dogs out at night again.  Put up with their barking.  At least I will know what they are barking at.

Time to run.  I hope to be back to read all the posts this evening.  God Bless

Alma, I really hope today has been a very good one for you, and that you'll eagerly look forward to the joys and blessings that our Lord will bring your way during the new year ahead.

Y'all what a DAY! I read the scriptures again dealing with being prepared for spiritual battle, for I don't want to be unchristian in my business dealings with our benefits unit, the insurance company, or with clients or co-workers.

Then it was busy, busy all day long, with only a 15 minute break for lunch.

The benefits problem is in the hands of our North American benefits administrator. She actually physically turned pale when I handed her the letter the firm had sent identifying me as an employee of another firm. Her spontaneous groan and exclamation of disbelief affirmed to me that something WILL be done, but likely it will take time to unravel this string of mistakes on the insurance company's part.

At any rate, the remainder of the day was a good one, but hectic. Then, I took my son the 81 mile one-way drive to the chiropractor who has come so far in helping his headaches. No, they are still severe and still disabling, but at least the duration is shortened from 2-3 weeks to 1-day up to maybe 3 or 4 days at the most. Then, usually there's at least one good day and maybe more than one, before the cycle of misery begins again for him.

Hopefully this treatment will last until shortly before my grandson's wedding the 14th of this month. That will entail a drive to northern Alabama (about 2.5 hours from Nashville), and an overnight stay. I'm hoping and praying that he will be able to attend, for he loves his nephew and wants so much to go.

Well, enough whining. I must tell you a funny thing that happened today.

A man who is designated to do the daily reports for a huge client in my absence has been dodging finalizing the training. So, I involved someone with more authority than me, who made it very plain that there were "x" number of days remaining before my announced absence, and that he would be held responsible if those reports do not go out.

So, he called, and we agreed on his sending me an e-mail tomorrow morning immediately following a 1 hour meeting expected to last until about 9 am my time tomorrow. He told me he would write a note to himself to "shoot me an e-mail following the meeting."

Two hours later he called and ruefully apologized to me for his gaffe. He had pulled up the to-do-list that is set up from our daily calendars, and he noted three words for his 10 a.m. (eastern) appointment tomorrow: :"Shoot Ruth Ann!" I howled with laughter. Imagine the stress I've been enduring on this benefits situation, and then, in Southern parlance, it seemed he was saying, "Shoot Ruth Ann, and GET HER OUTTA HER MISERY!" It certainly lifted my mood to know of a certainty that I won't be shot at dawn, I have until 9 am tomorrow morning before the "big boom!"  ;D

Y'all have a good rest of the evening.

Ruth Ann

Hi everyone.  It is cool here this morning and very enjoyable.  After coffee stopped at the library and got 3 recorded books, including a modern scholar recording.  I thought it might be interesting.  The problem is whether I can focus on what I am hearing while working on the computer.  Pat listens to books on CD all the time and really enjoys them.  It remains to be seen whether I get through any of these.

I have a meeting that I am in charge of this morning and then have the rest of the day free.  However, this afternoon I will go to Radio Shack and pick up the headphones that I ordered and paid for on Sunday.  My good friend Rod likely will go with me as he is looking for a headset for his wife and thinks what I am getting might be what he is looking for.

JudyB, we keep losing the blossoms on our flowers in the boxes outside to the deers.  Periodically the blossoms just disappear and the only the stems remain.  I can understand your frustration.

Ruth Ann, hope the lady can get things straightened out for you.  It sounds like you had a nice laugh with the supervisors annotation.

Happy Birthday Alma.  Hope you have a great day.

Good Morning: I had a rough night, Ruth called me 6 times between the time I came home and 9:30  just because she didn't have anything else to do but call me. She couldn't change the channels on the TV, she took a nap, she couldn't turn the TV off, etc. Then at 10:30 Lifeline called me and woke me up to tell me that she didn't know how to get into bed. She probably called them and told them she was going to bed and they misunderstood. Because that is the kind of calls she usually make to me. They wanted me to go over there and I told them no, they called her son and he didn't answer the phone. Please excuse me for venting this morning but I am getting stressed over the situation and don't know what to do about it. I have tomorrow off and hopefully she will leave me alone as her son is taking over tomorrow.  Everytime she calls Lifeline with whatever they call me.

Please pray for me

Good afternoon.  This morning I went to my surgeon that operated on my larnyx.  They called me last Friday to remind me of my appointment at 10am.  I was there at 9:45am, called in the the room at 10:30am and the doctor came in at 10:50am.  That bugs me to pieces...if I were late, I would get told about it!!  Anyway, he said that my larnyx looked good when he got in there during surgery but he zapped it again with lazer.  Yes, I have a hard time coming out of the anesthetic but I told him I never had problems the other 8 times I was under anesthetic.  And he asked me why I wasn't taking my stomach medicine and said 'What?'  He said, 'You were taking something for your stomach but you quit.'  I said, 'Prilosec?'  'You need to take that for your acid reflux', he said.  So I told him that I was taking it before because my family doctor thought maybe acid reflux was irritating my larnyx and that was why I was hoarse talking. I don't have acid reflux.   But he said to take it anyway.  And I go back to him July 23rd for him to look at my larnyx with a scope.  I feel like I have been run over by a Mac truck!

Kitty and I had a great time yesterday.  She got ink for her printer and some glossy photo paper at Frye's.  Then we went to an art supply store for the double sided glue that comes on rolls like wax paper.  We put it on 16" x 20" matte board and then put the picture on it.  Then the cut out matte board on top.  The State Fair building the photos are in is very hot and humid.  Just strips of double-sided tape doesn't work!  Then we went to Hobby Lobby for matte boards.  Then to Don Pablo's for dinner.  She brought me home and I went to her house to print photos.  Her printer wouldn't print black and white very good so I printed an 8" x 10" here on my printer.  The other two she printed them as 11" x 13".  I just know my pelican will get something.  Ha!  Even if it is a number rating.  Or at least hung!!

Time to get caught up online and then sit in front of the TV and get caught up with my TV shows.

Wow it seems everyone is having a rough time.  Marilyn Etta Sue, Ruth Ann, Know I am prayying for all of you.

The weather report told us rain for the balance of the week.
It was overcast this am but the sun is shining now.  The weather is perfect, not too hot or too cool.

The first was our grand son's birthday.  He waned the girls there so we went and had a great time with the kids.  With him living down south the girls haven't seen much of the younger siblings.  So this was fun for them.

Well have a good day folks.  Remember this "It didn't come to stay, it came to pass!"  When things go wrong as they sometimes do remember that.

Ruth

Janet a great devotional:

Not much to say really I started the laundry yesterday and the last load being darks,  I left until today with the personal promise of doing the mending as they were darks as well then into the laundry they would go, yes mending is done and so is the rest of the laundry.

It has been a cloudy day and with the wind coming from the southwest promises rain tomorrow.

Janet: When you play the piano in the early morning hours does that not wake your dear hubby?   The birds do a good job of waking me at approx. 4:30 and I think birds please stay sleeping for a couple of hours. I know it could be something worse like fire, police.  ambulance at least the birds are singing.

I will return again another day.

In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.  Proverbs 3:6

Janet

Ruth Ann, I'm so glad you won't be shot at dawn!  We need you around here!  Glad you will (eventually) get the insurance thing sorted out.  Also, I'm glad to hear that Leslie is doing a little bit better re those awful headaches.

I cannot type for long.  Today I saw Dr. Rane, and she gave me an injection in my right hand to try to settle the carpal tunnel pain down some.  She said I have three things going on:  Carpal tunnel syndrome, golfer's elbow, and that I have severely sprained my deltoid muscles.  She asked, "Have you lifted something heavy?"  I said "oh, yes."  She asked if it would be possible for me "Not to do anything exciting for at least the next ten days.  She said I'm in great shape, but have been overdoing, and I need to just be a "queen" for a while; that my arm need REST.  So, folks, meet the new queen!

I have to go to another doctor on Thursday for nerve conduction tests, and I am dreading that, I know they are very painful.

Oh, a blessing, too!  We took the prescription Dr. Rane gave me to Wal-Mart, and got it filled with the generic for $4.00.  The name brand would have been $115.00!  :o  Some difference, huh?

Anyway, I now have an elbow support, a wrist splint, and anti-inflammation/pain pills.  I'm hoping with all that, I can finally get a restful night of sleep, but feel pretty doubtful.  (Oh me of little faith?)

I wish you all a joyful celebration of our Independence Day.  The program Abby and I attended last night was wonderful.  It brought the crowd to its feet and tears to our eyes, more than once.

Hi, Ruth, you popped in as I was typing.  No, the piano doesn't wake Darrel.  He is in the bedroom and I close the door, but the main reason is the electronic piano has a volume control, and I turn it down low.  Too bad the birds wake you so early.  Shame on them! ;)

Good evening folks.

Janet you really need to take care and let that arm heal.  Am praying.

I have the dog outside tonight.  A dry house and a full bucket of water, and all she is doing is barking.  Grrrr  Mom is tired tonight so she will be asleep in spite of the dog.  Also the window in her room is down so the sound is muted.

It feels good to be ahead on laundry.  I have only the weekend clothes to wash and that will be done tomorrow morning. Mending is another matter.  I need to take that machine in and get it fixed.  Next week I will do that.  Not too much mending to do anyway.

The chickens doubled their weight in a week.  IT is really something to see.  Cimi is still as excited as ever about "her babies", but they are soon going to be big, and she will back off from them.

Yesterday we had an exciting event.  The catterpiller that Kassie brought in and spun a cocoon, emerged as a beautiful butterfly.  It was black with white spots along the wings.  But when it opened the wings there were tiny electric blue spots on the wings along the edges. I will try and find one on the internet so the kids know the name of it.  We have several monarch catterpillars and one has spun its cocoon, another is about ready to.  Isn't God's creation beautiful?

Well I am tired and heading to bed.
Love and hugs to all

Well, I just hope you're not "all shot" now, Ruth Ann!

My son from Olympia may be through here this evening or tomorrow to help our church with its sound system.

I think we finally did it.....Summer has arrived!!!
Could have waited another week until the kids are back...has greatly increased my watering chores outside in the huge garden.  They have underground sprinklers, but lots of large pots with roses galore to water.  I understand that they are going to put in a system for the pots and each one is watered using tiny sprinklers.  I also have to keep picking up the petals, etc. on the ground, take care of 6 bunnies and two cats, plus our little friend Billy Bob, the large house and my own suite.   :(  I hope their next holiday will be in the winter, this old lady turns 75 this September.....

Squeek is so sad.  She even tried to climb into Amanda's suitcase before they left.  I have to give her lots of love as she is also getting on in years.  Which means going up and downstairs lots and spending time to keep things more or less normal.  Good exercise tho' and should build back some of the muscle that got lost over our extended rain season.

Here is a small smile, which I have to type as it is from a book....

Calories

Methuselah ate what he found on his plate,
And never as people do now,
Did he note the amount of caloric count-
He ate it because it was chow.

He wasn't disturbed, as at dinner he sat,
Destroying a roast or a pie,
To think it was lacking in granular fat,
Or a couple of vitamins shy.

He cheerfully chewed every species of food,
Undisturbed by worries or fears,
Lest his health might be hurt by some fancy dessert,
And he lived over nine hundred years!

Pleasant Day/Evening and God Bless.

CHANGE NOT THY FAITH WITH CHANGING TIMES

Ruth Ann Bice

Hi, friends,

Well, I wasn't shot at dawn and we finally made it through one training session. :)

I got to work at 6:30 so I could work a full day and then get to the doctor's office on time. It wouldn't have mattered - the appointment was at 3:45 and he shook my hand at 5:15!

Oh, well, it gave me opportunity to relax and catch up on the web using my cell phone.

At any rate, the news wasn't great. All these headaches have a basis in fact - the b/p was 162/72. So, now, another new med has been added.

At any rate, I'm planning on being very lazy tomorrow to catch up on two very loooong days.

Y'all have a good rest of the evening.

Hi everyone and happy 4th to those of us in the USA.

Our cafe is closed for the remainder of the week so our coffee group will be going to the McDonald's for coffee each morning.  Don't really have anything else planned for the day.

I did get new headphones yesterday.  I decided not to get the pair I had ordered on Saturday as the reviews of that product on the web were not good.  Instead I spent about $30 more and got a set of Koss headphones that completely cover the ears and do not rest on the ear so they don't make the skin on my ears hurt.  I enjoyed listening to music all evening, finishing a good book I was reading, and getting started on a Mrs. Pollifax story.  I had never read any of that series before and they are a quick read.

Ruth Ann, sorry about the high blood pressure.  It seems like it is one thing after another at our age.  Pat had an eye exam on Monday and she is going to need cataract surgery in probably another year.  She also may have high blood pressure and is monitoring it for a few days as it was high when she saw the doctor.  Fortunately we have a machine here at the house that she can use to check it.

Janet, it sounds like you really have a messed up arm and wrist.  I hope you will climb on the queen's throne and let others help you for these ten days and give your arm time to heal.

Liz, I am sure you will be glad to see your family back home.

Al, sure you are looking forward to seeing your son.  It is nice of him to come and help out at your church with the sound.

JudyB, isn't it a joy to see a child discover the world around them, including butterflies?  Glad you are having nice weather.  It was overcast and cool here all day yesterday and very welcome.

Hi Ruth.  Laundry never seems to get caught up.

Etta Sue, I consider myself lucky to only have to wait 20 minutes to see a doctor, especially a specialist.  However, at Kaiser they usually see you pretty close to the time of your appointment.  It sounds like you got a good report.  I suppose the doctor wants to avoid reflux even if you don't suffer from it now as it might aggravate your throat.

Marilyn, perhaps Ruth's son should be the one at the top of the emergency call list so he would get a better view of the situation.  It would appear that this lady has no business being left alone.  I know if this were my mother she wouldn't be left alone.  I feel for you being at the beck and call and also for her son as these things are never easy to deal with.

Hope everyone has a great day.

I surely did like that poem....though I do not need any excuses to eat...even if it is cyber pie.

We shall spend tonight in Windsor, after attending a Tiger ballgame (a present from our daughter)  We will be celebrating our 47th anniversary (July 1, 1960) I've always wanted to spend a night in a riverside hotel viewing the Detroit skyline and tonight we shall.

Happy 4th....it is/was a costly holiday.....remember its purpose.

I read this today and wanted to pass it on to others who may not know the meaning of Canada Day.  I'm sure the part about beer was probably written "tongue in cheek" but am copying just as it was:

Canada Day
By Michael Smith
As the USA prepares for their July 4th celebrations, very few of those planning parties or weekend trips are aware of the significance of July 1st to their northern neighbors. I moved from Canada to the USA in the fall of 1999 and was shocked to learn, few Americans knew anything about Canada Day. In Canada, we all knew about July 4th.

It's common knowledge. This year, on July 1st, Canada will celebrate
its 138th birthday, 138 years of confederation. The people of Canada
celebrate it the same as Americans celebrate their "big day" - parties, parades, fireworks, cookouts, and trips. We love our day and our country. Canada Day celebrates events that occurred on July 1, 1867, when the British North America Act created the Canadian federal government. The BNA Act proclaimed "one Dominion under the name of Canada," hence the original title of the holiday, "Dominion Day." In 1982, the name was officially changed to "Canada Day."

While writing this tribute to my country of birth, I decided to
some information on Canada to pass on to those who read my
stories. A lot of it I knew, but there were a few things I didn't
know. For instance, I found it interesting
to learn:

Canadians eat more Kraft© Macaroni and Cheese per capita than any
other nation.

Canada has more donut shops per capita than any other nation in the
world, but also the fifth least amount of police per capita. I guess
this means Canadian police eat a heck of a lot more donuts.

Canadians are noted as beer drinkers - I do my part. Surprisingly, I
learned in my research, we are actually rated 16th in beer
consumption. The Czech republic has us beat by a long shot. I call on
all Canadians to correct this wrong.

Canada is the second largest country in the world, second to Russia.
However, it's the 9th least populated. It has a population of thirty-
three million people, one million less than the state of California.
Most of Canada is wood or farmland. The far northern sections are
frozen tundra. The majority of the population lives along the east
and west
coasts, on the edge of the major rivers, and of course the Great
Lakes. Our forefathers settled these areas hundreds of years ago,
because the waters provided food.

There are five and a half time zones in Canada. A half you ask?
Newfoundland, which only joined the federation in 1949, to make
Canada what it is today, is in a half time zone. Newfoundland, (but
not Labrador), lies squarely in the eastern half of its time zone,
exactly three and a half hours from Greenwich. The Newfoundland
government attempted to bring the province into conformity with the
other Atlantic provinces in 1963, but withdrew in the face of stiff
public opposition. Other countries that operate on the half hour time
difference are: Suriname, Iran, India, Sri Lanka, and Central
Australia.

Canada has the 6th best standard of living. In spite of their love of
Kraft© Dinner and donuts, it is a great place to raise a family.
They, also, have the largest surface area of fresh water, which one
day may be more valuable than oil and natural gas.

Many people, here in the USA, ask me if Canada is mostly French
speaking. I found the statistics in my research. In a survey of what
people considered their "Mother Tongue," it was found that 59% of
Canadians were English speaking, 23% French, and 18% had either more
than one "Mother Tongue," or a "Mother Tongue" other than English or
French.

Canada and the USA are sisters. We share rivers, lakes, lands and the
air itself, just as true sisters share the same genes.

As Americans hit the road on Friday, July the 1ST, for their July the
4TH weekend plans, I ask them to please raise a cheer for their
northern sister on her birthday. Canadians will do the same on the
4th for their southern sister.

Let's all have a little extra Kraft© dinner and a donut, but don't
forget the beer.

My arm is hurting pretty bad, so back to the chair with a soft pillow to rest the arm on.  This queen wants to know:  Where are my subjects?  ;)  The King did take me out for breakfast this morning, that is a very rare occurrence!  So I am blessed.

Happy 4th of July to you all!

A sad time here.  A friend of my niece (Robin) had an auto accident yesterday.  If I walked across the field, she was about a third of a mile away.  She was driving her convertible with the top down and was followed by a Conservation Officer.  He noticed that she swerved to the side of the road and then over corrected.  She flipped the convertible.  She was flown to Indianapolis by helicopter.  She has broken ribs, both wrists are broken, a cheekbone broken, head injuries, bleeding in the brain.  She is talking but gratefully doesn't remember what happened.  So sad.  I haven't heard anything so far today.  So pray a prayer or two or three for Julie and her loved ones if you are led.

Ivalou just called and we are going to another niece's (Keri) tonight to watch the fireworks over a lake.  Also the niece's daughter is coming home from Japan today.  Jenna is in the Navy and will be home for a month.  It will be great to see Jenna and listen about her experiences in Japan. I have Hawaiian Baked Beans in the crock pot.

I have been in and out of here a few times already this morning without leaving a post.. Interesting facts on Canada Janet.

Sorry to hear about your nieces friend Etta Sue.

Hello Ed have a wonder holiday for your anniversary.

Larry glad you got your new headphones they sound wonderful.

I have been on the phone and the computer for most of the morning, then decided to clean out my bookcase and trade places with the aquarium set up. I will have to vacuum when I get the books back in the shelves. I am planning to mow this afternoon.

Etta Sue, I will pray for Julie.  But there is much to thank God for already, as if not for Him, she would have been killed in such an accident.  Have fun this evening.

I have decided it is nice being a "queen" but a little boring.  Where is the court jester to make me laugh? :D

I need to go visit my Mom.  The last several times I have been by her room, she has been asleep and I was in a hurry, so didn't go in and wake her.  She called and left a message yesterday wondering where I've been.

Happy fireworks to those who will be seeing them!  Nice graphics, Etta Sue.
