JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Wishing you all the best ... and much happiness.

(This is really a red letter day.)
Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass .... it's about learning to dance in the rain!

So seeing as I'm new - is this just a hang out and chat section.
"Them hath he filled with wisdom of heart, to work all manner of work, of the engraver, and of the cunning workman, and of the embroiderer, in blue, and in purple, in scarlet, and in fine linen, and of the weaver, even of them that do any work, and of those that devise cunning work."

Yes, TW, this is our coffeshop, though there are a few foreigners who think it's  tea shop.  But we do enjoy chatting in this forum.  We have people on the left coast, the right coast, the mid-section, the south, England, scotland, Australia, etc.  So - welcome!

By the way - please see my message to you in the Introductory forum.

Wonderful news for Pat and Paul. May God's very richest blessings be bestowed on the two of you as you begin your journey together.

Congratulations to your granddaughter, also, on her wedding.

Marilyn, what a wonderful writeup!  I agree with Etta Sue - how great it is to know that your employers recognize you for your values and high standards, as well as we, your friends.

Y'all have a wonderful evening. I've gotta run to Sam's before they close. So, will go for tonight.

Much love to all.

Ruth Ann

Ok Pat now you have to give us all the details.
Where did you meet Paul?
How long have you known each other?
How long have you been courting?
Where will you live?
Tell us your love story.

PAT!!!! :) :)  I'm so very happy for you and Paul.  I love the picture of the two of you.  I pray you will find the Lord's own joy in this marriage.  I feel like Etta Sue....I'm just sitting here grinning from ear to ear.

Marilyn, congratulations on your acknowledgment as the great caregiver that you are.  And they even mentioned Happy and Bebe. :)

My sister was moved from Intensive Care today.  Her heart is still swollen in the lower area (I can't remember if I told you that).  It is from the shock her body went into.  But the swelling is going down.  I found out that she heard the doctor say that they had given her too much of the chemo drug...and that's what sent her into shock.  Faye is so nice, she won't even mention it to them again, I imagine.  Still she almost died.  The doctor told her that he thinks that within two weeks her heart should be back to normal....and then they concern themselves with the cancer again.  She may be moved to a regular room soon.  She's in a step down from intensive now.  I talked to her tonight and she seems up, but very tired.  Thank you for your prayers, Carol.   :)  And everyone else who is praying for Faye.  Thank you.

.......and now back to the happy news!  Pat, when you're ready to share, I want to know if you'll be in Canada or the US.   This is the best news I've heard since little Megan was born. :)

Hi everyone.  It is finally a rainy day here in Georgia, as was yesterday.  However, it looks like today is the last day of rain for awhile.  This chest cold is really getting to me and had to sleep in my easy chair again last night.  We decided to stay in today and didn't attend church.  They were having a combined service today with Sunday School following.  I plan on resting the rest of the day.

Marilyn, thanks for sharing the very nice article about your care giving.  It is nice to be recognized once in a while although I know that is not your goal or reason for your fine care giving.

Nita, I am sure the doctors don't know precisely what amount of chemo to administer in each instance.  Fortunately it sounds like she will be getting a lot better.  My nephew had a similar experience and his kidneys shut down.  I am glad to say he is in remission and doing very well.

Timber Wolf, nice to see you posting here.  This is where we get to know each other a bit and we always are happy to see new folks join with us.  You will soon find that you are an old hand at posting here.

Time to rest.

Etta Sue

Good afternoon.  I went to church this morning and the bulletin said that David was preaching all four services.  So....that means I left church at 9:30am.  All the sermons were going to be the same and since I don't exactly really care or fond of the music for the post-teen/young adult service, I decided to leave.  When I got to a crossroad north of Greenfield, I called Tony to tell him I was going to Top Notch for breakfast.  I had to leave a Voice Mail.  I met them there once when I stayed for only one service.  After I got to the restaurant, I called their house and Charlene answered.  Tony was sick and still in bed.  She was getting ready to leave with her parents.

So I ate alone and then to Dollar General for milk and then home.

I got online and the phone rang.  It was Tony....he must be bored...we talked for almost two hours.  I was online and he was online and we were looking at homes that he likes nearer to where he works.  I told him,.....just get a home big enough for me....I may have to move in with you someday!!!

I see SrNet is back online!

Now it is time to get a book or watch some TV.

Janet

Hello, all.

Ruth Ann, so good to see you posting after a while of being absent.  Always good to hear how things are with you!

Welcome, Timberwolf!  Come on in and tell us a little about you---such as where you live, what you enjoy doing, etc.  Anything you'd like to share with us, really.

Marilyn, that was a really nice article.  Congratulations.

Larry, I am praying that chest cold will soon be a thing of the past.  So far, I have been able to stave off the cold by taking Vitamin C and zinc.  I hope it continues to do the job for me.  Glad you and Pat are staying in today, rest is a good thing.  I am nearly falling asleep on my keyboard here.   I'm thinking I could use a nap!

Abby is here, she is busy making brownies just now, but wants to get online and do something with her Webkins soon.  Hard to believe how quickly kids grow up!  :-\  She is now up to my eyebrows in height!   Of course, her brothers say "well, that's not saying much, Grams!"  ;)

Etta Sue, it's good you had a good visit with Tony today.  We moms need that!

Nita, still praying for Faye.  Wonderful that she has such a good attitude in spite of her circumstances.  Bless you both.

Pat, how are you today?  I need to go back and read when Kathleen's wedding is--I got so excited about the next announcement that it went right out of my head!!  I wish I were there to give you a great big hug!!  :)

Just a very quick post.

Thanks for all your lovely comments.  We're both very happy.  More details later.

Janet, Kathleen's wedding was yesterday in Toronto.  It was really lovely.

:)  As I said I would get back to read the post's..What I have read is very interesting and very encourageing. My oldest brother is visiting from Scotland and we have been going to visit all over the place so that has kept us busy.

To all who have posted we will pray for you and also try to remember your request's.  Our weather up in Canada at the moment is not to bad but I think it is going to get colder.

I am glad to here that you are getting more rain in Georgia and filling up the lakes.

Again I ask you all to pray for my wife  Noreen as she is not having a very easy time with her back pain and also the effects of the medications that cause so many side effects.  It is also possible that it could cause problems with her kidneys but our doctor does keep a very close watch on that.

Our Grandson that I asked you to pray for at this time is doing very well and growing very fast. The problem in his back the doctors are keeping a close check on him every  2 months.   He seems just like any other normal baby and he is doing every thing that all other babies do so Praise the Lord for that.

Al:  I hope that you are well and that you are taking care of yourself.

Larry:  Please take care of your cold and get rid of it before you go out and do to much and look after the wife.  :)

Judy B:  Where are you have not seen your post for while ? How is the cold country up in the north.  How is John doing and hope that all is well. ;)

To everyone else I hope that you all have a wonderful week and may the Lord richly bless you. <3

Ruth Ann Bice

Hi, friends,

It's great to have a bit of time so I can come back to my friends.

Maybe when I learn how to do it, I can begin posting a photo now and then, since one of my presents was a Kodak Easy Share camera.

Y'all have a great day.

Ruth Ann

Larry:  It sure takes longer to get over a cold but be sure it doesn't turn into pnuemonia or bronchitis for you.

Marilyn:  You are the best of caretakers - I want you to be my caretaker when I need it.  Very nice write-up!

Janet:  Now that you are home, all you do it run around - just kidding.  Life is passing quicker when you are so busy, isn't it?

Ruth Ann:  How neat that you have a new camera and good luck on learning to post pictures.  You will get a lot of help from a lot of people.

It is blowing snow and so much that most of the freeways are closed in spots.  We are going to go to the gym tomorrow and badly need the exercise plus I know that I have eaten much too much chocolate.

Welcome Timberwolf Do you live in Minnesota and are you a fan of the Timberwolves team?  Just curious that you would pick that name.
