JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Carol: My husband Don is with the angels.....Our family was able to hold  ourselves together for the last moments.  Juar rhoufhr you might want to know. 2022-04-29, 23:35:15

Larry, thank you for posting God's Accuracy.  I've copied it to save and to send on.

Everything is the same here.  I babysat again today.  The weather was beautiful today, after an overnight rain, so I was able to sit out with Maycie.  She sure loves being out in the fresh air and her little head is turning to explore all.  Then she sort of drifts into this spaced out look of pure pleasure.  I understand, because I am the same. :)  I love the sun, the breeze, the sound of birds, the colors all around us.  I think Maycie is thanking God in her own way for it all.

I'll be praying for you all tomorrow, Larry.

Judy, I watched the opening ceremonies too.  Spectacular kept coming to mind.  I've never seen anything like it, and I think I have lots of company. :)  Every detail was carried out beautifully.  I would think the Chinese government should be pleased with the presentation.

Jiggs dinner sounds like a yummy pot of beef stew to me.  I thicken juices with cornstarch to make the gravy.

I am ready for church.  I have been scarce this week.  Wednesday I thought my desktop was going to crash.  I went to Best Buy to get a program called 'Fix-It'.  I got it and also a laptop.  I have been busy transferring My Documents all to the laptop.  Done with that.  Now to do little stuff like Networking.  I have a wireless router but I can't figure out how to network.  May call Best Buy this afternoon and hope they can talk me through it.

Gotta go.  Sorry, no time for graphics today!!!!

Good Morning Everyone...

Just on my way out the door to church.

Just wanted to check in.  Have a wonderful Sunday everyone.

Boy, our posts this week are certainly down from other weeks.    Only just about 60 all week here in Thoughts?

When Al Moak posts the new Thoughts for next week, let's all keep in touch more and remember to pray for each other.  We have a wonderful group.

And thank you too for those of you who have clicked on the little "Donate" button on the left above the Shoutbox.  This has helped to pay the monthly webhosting costs.  And I appreciate it so much.

I'll be back later.

Hi everyone, I have been scarce as I have had company all weekend. We took the dogs to the dog park yesterday and they had a blast being of leash , Happy chased the ball with a group of other dogs, everyone of those dogs was black or black and white. So Happy fit right in. Bebe is still being cautious of her leg but she had fun too.

We've been watching the Olympics on two different channels. The satellite has it on 4 channels at 4 different venues, but only 2 channels at a time.

Greetings from the island.  Cloudy and looks like rain.  It did rain yest. and forcast again for tomorrow.  We do need some tho' as a few rare days of sunshine has made things a little crisp...the soil does not retain moisture for long.

I enjoyed what you posted Larry regarding God's Accuracy.  Sort of goes with what I read in Daily Bread today about God's Eyes:

The eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him. —2 Chronicles 16:9

I will also remember your family in prayer and am so sorry about all the health problems your daughter is having.  Can certainly relate to that!

Thanks Carol for the mention about the author Robert Morgan.  Went to the library online and found he has written a number of books.  That one is only on audio, so have requested 'Brave Enemies' and look forward to a good read.  I do not care for many of the Christian books .... think this one is my size.  Interesting without being 'off the wall'.

Speaking of 'off the wall', that Westboro group managed to get into Winnipeg with the intention of picketing the funeral of the poor young man killed on the bus.  Since it was all over the world news, many of you will know the case.  About 300-400 citizens, along with police, formed a human wall to keep them away.  They didn't show.  Their reason for coming...to protest the corrupt Canadian gov. and it's policy about marriage, abortion, etc.  How that ties into this tragic happening leaves much to the imagination.  One would think they could find enough to keep them busy at home.   :-\

Hope everyone will have a good week.

Pleasant Day/Evening and God Bless.

Oh, I forgot to mention:

For those of you who are having minor computer problems, I have found that Windows Live OneCare Safety Scan works like a charm with most register problems, etc.  It is free and does not cause the problems like many of the FixIt Prog. sometimes create.  I have had my computer for (Sony) 6 yrs.+ and always have been able to correct things without outside help.  Use the windows error check and remove temp. files, frag. etc. on a regular basis.  Most important for me is using AVG Firewall.  Used Nortons, McAfee, Trend and found them all lacking in keeping problems off the computer.  AVG is worth the cost and then some....As the old saying goes, The Proof Is In The Puddin'!  Anyway, that's my story and sticking to it. :)

Larry Hanna

Hi everyone.  I am writing tonight on my laptop from my daughter's apartment, where we are spending the night so we will be close to the hospital.  We have to be there before 6 am in the morning as they are suppose to take her to the surgery waiting area at that time.  We learned today we will be able to stay with her until they actually take her to surgery, which will be around 7:30 if things go according to plan.  As soon as we returned from the North Georgia mountains this afternoon we went to the hospital and visited with her a little while.  However, we didn't stay too long as she needs to get as much rest as possible.  There wasn't anyone else in the room with her while we were there but she called shortly after we got back here to say they had brought in a lady on a ventilator.  She thought they were going to give her a sleeping pill tonight so that she will sleep.  They are constantly having to adjust the nitro drip as it has a drastic impact on her blood pressure.  I hope she can get some rest this evening.  The doctor told her the surgery should last around 2 hours.

We had a nice weekend but were glad when the program was over this morning.  We didn't stay for the luncheon as were anxious to get back to Atlanta.

Etta Sue, you might want to check out a website called Network Magic.  I have used this program for several years and it is great as it makes networking between computers and printers very simple.  I haven't checked recently, since I bought the program right after trying it, but think you can try it for 30 days full featured and then some of the features are not available but the network set up stays.  I feel confident you will love having the laptop.  Did it come with Vista.

Melody, I have found the search feature on Vista is very strong and when I couldn't figure out where something was I just put in a search term and it gave me the information I needed.  My daughter couldn't find the screen to turn the computer off or restart it, which is on the line above the Start Icon and s the little arrow to the right on that line.  I actually lke Vista.

Liz, I have been using the paid version of Microsoft One Care since January and will continue to subscribe to the service.

Marilyn, where we were staying over the weekend is a retreat center and there were no televisions or telephones in the room or anywhere else that I saw.  They did have the Wi-Fi in the lobby area.
