JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

I like that Paul, I wish I had that ability to make beautiful cards.

We are to have snow as well.  That is ok John is home, not still running the roads.  That is a relief in comparison to other years.

Pat

That's lovely, Paul!

Hope more folks post some cards in here!

Hi Folks As the song says I'll be home for Christmas. Well I made it The truck is parked in the driveway and it looks like it won't be going anywhere until Dec 30 when I leave for Solway Minn. to deliver on Jan 1. It's good to be home early for a change. Different from other years when I can remember pushing until late hours of the 24th to make it home for Christmas. I hope all of you have a Merry Christmas and if you have to travel, that your travels will be safe. Remember to keep Christ in the center of your celebrations which is something that can get sidetracked with the hustle and bustle of the season. Take time to relax and reflect on the reason for the season and it's not santa claus. This can be done very well in front of a lit fireplace with a nice hot cup of hot chocolate with home baked cookies. Well I'll go for now but will be back sometime tomorrow. Bonesy
Phil. 1: 21. For to me to live is Christ and to die is gain.

What pretty Christmas cards!  Thanks!

Well.....is everybody ready?  It's coming, anyway!

Boy, I tell you!  It took a few years, but Beth's boyfriend John has really become a romantic guy!! I went up to the Home for their Christmas party today, and she asked me to open her gifts from John.  He sent her:  A stuffed bear that reads the Christmas story from the Bible; a pigs calendar; chocolate cordial cherries; chocolate truffles.....AND.......drum roll......a beautiful gold locket that says 'I love you' and has a rose on it; another lovely gold and diamond necklace with a B, and a romantic movie to watch!!  How about that??  She was talking to him on the phone when I left, and was a happy girl.   :)  God, please bless John.

I got my candy made tonight, now need to fix a bite for supper.  Lots more cooking to do tomorrow.

Janet, those gifts must have really helped lift Beth's spirits.   :)

Hi everyone.  This has been a very busy day and I am really tired tonight.  After coffee this morning 4 of us walked at the gym.  I then went to the grocery store and the gas station and headed up to get the oil changed in my car.  On the way there I ran into Fry's and bought an item my friend Rod had asked me to get the last time I was there and had forgotten.  I then went to the car dealer and the normal 30 minute oil change took 90 minutes as they were very busy.  By the time I had finished it was too late to get my flu shot at Kaiser so stopped for a bite of lunch and then headed to Atlanta to pick up Stacey.

There was a terrible accident on I-85 that blocked all north bound lanes and that caused a tremendous traffic backup all around the area where I was.  I finally made it to the Interstate and didn't have any further problems.  However, it was after 3 pm before we got back to the house.

Everything is ready for our family Christmas and Pat and Stacey will put together a few more food items tomorrow and bake the ham so that will be prepared before Friday.  She has to pace herself.

I enjoyed all of the postings today but just am too tired to make individual comments.

Hi, friends,

This may be my last post for a few days, since I'll be traveling to Georgia for family Christmas time this weekend.

Those cards are beautiful, and the sentiments expressed in this discussion are heartfelt and welcome.

May God's blessings be with each of us and those we love (as well as those we may find it hard to love)!

Happy Birthday, Jesus.
...his compassions fail not.  They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVE, EVERYBODY!!

I pray all your plans, travels, gatherings and relationships be blessed, as we stop and remember Jesus at the time of His birth.

We slept late and are just now stirring and deciding what to do today.

Today is trash day.  Well, it is also freezing after a rain out there.  My deck is resin.  Doesn't absorb moisture.  I about fell walking on the deck to take the trash.  I got Ivalou's trash and the Visiting Nurse came for the last time.  When I went back in to shut the garage door, I told Ivalou to look over to my house in a few minutes and if I was laying there to call 911!  The Visiting Nurse said 'Are you serious?'  I told her, 'Yes I was.  My deck is slick and if I can't get up then something is broken!'

Earlier I got a call from Marge.  Ivalou, Marge, me and maybe Betty are going to see "Blind Side" this afternoon.  And if Ivalou isn't too tired, we will eat out somewhere.  And then Christmas Eve services are tonight at church at 7pm.  Busy day for Ivalou and the rest of us.  At least, we don't have to do too much tomorrow for Christmas Day.

Tony, Charlene and I went to Real Hacienda for dinner last night and then they came in and visited when they brought me back home.  The gift was spending time with them!

I am praying that everyone's Christmas is a special as they are!

Yes I have, Marilyn ... and thank you very much!  The banana bread is delicious but I haven't opened the pepper jelly yet!

My neighbors left just before 9 o'clock on their way north to visit with kids and grands ... they are in their motorhome, and plan to return on Sunday.  The roads are supposed to be dry and the ice should be off by the time they get through Florence.

I have an invitation to dinner with another neighbor today at 3 p.m. so that will be a good time of togetherness.  I will more than likely stay home and watch a movie and listen to my Christmas cds tomorrow.

All y'all have a really blessed Christmas and be safe on the roads.   <3
