JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

I've been contacted[by voice-mail] by a local artist who wants to paint one of my images.  I'm not sure if he intends to sell the print or not, but when I call him back I'll be sure to ask.

My question is, what's the normal fee for something like that?

I'm clueless when it comes to something like this.  Help!!!

Thanks in advance,
Scott

That is really cool!!! I've seen your galleries-very nice....

I really wish I had answer  to your question...You might want to try posting your question or reading trhough the forums on Photography Corner...They have all kinds of information on resources and friendly people who will offer what they may know-There's also PhotographyBoard.net-on this site you do not have to register to ask a question, MyShutterSpace, I'm only offering these suggestions as they are sites I frequent. There is such a wealth of info on the internet and can be intimidating shifting through. Of course if your just reading- you wont need to sign up at all...

That is a good answer juanital, I don't have any better an answer....one person who might know a bit more would be Kathleen, or shutterbugmom.

Thank you both for your reply.

Thanks for the links as well.  I'll check them out.  I googled it earlier, but haven't come up with anything yet.  I'm not quite sure how to phrase it.  Not to mention information overload  :o

Thanks again!

You might also try Photography Cafe. There are a lot of experienced photographers there.

Isn't it exciting and flattering that someone wants to use your art in this way? :D  Congratulations!

I would think that minimally, they would need to purchase the print they are wanting to use.  Then, depending on what they intend to do with it and whether or not they will sell actual paintings or prints of the painted rendition of it, you would need to charge further or barter for a painting for yourself.  I would probably charge either a flat fee, if they were going to profit off the painting, or a percentage of future sales of their paintings.  Which ever you decide, be sure you have a contract with all the details and what's expected and have both parties sign the agreement.

I had an artist draw one of my images and he purchased the print and I will get a print of the drawing when it's finished.  That was my daughter's beau though, so it's a little different senario.

That's my advice (IMHO) for what it's worth.
