This is one of the guys that wakes us EARLY every morning.[attachimg=#]

The drumming would wake you up!  We have starling chicks waking us up.

Great photo.  It's the catbirds that start their chatter just before dawn outside my window.   

These red heads have a distinctive call and like to knock on our steel roof and the wood outside the bedroom window. We have several other "wood peckers" that like to knock. Right at sun rise. Oh well, early to bed and hope to get enough sleep before the sapsuckers start knocking.
