Don: Hey Judy, It's been a long time. Hope you are doing well. 2024-12-02, 22:41:41

JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Carol: My husband Don is with the angels.....Our family was able to hold  ourselves together for the last moments.  Juar rhoufhr you might want to know. 2022-04-29, 23:35:15

I had the opportunity to see what it was like to shoot a wedding.  I took the Fuji and I think it did well.  I was going to bring the Oly but left it at the last minute.  I can tell you this much:  I would NOT want to do this for a living!   :D  I feel that while these are decent, they are by no means professional grade photos.  Indoor was crazy when it was daylight but when the sun went down, it was total chaos!  P&S flash bombs going off, photog strobes & flashes, DJ lights... YIKES!  I did attempt a few but they sucked soooooo bad.  Outdoor shots were taken about 10 feet to the left of the photog and I thought they came out better than average.

This was a test shot.  Handheld, racked out across a crowded room about 75-80 feet away.  This is right OOC.  No PP.

These are great photos.  You have done well.

But aren't those children too young to marry!   LOL you know they seem to get younger every year, perhaps because we are getting older?

Thanks, Judy.  They look like they're barely out of puberty!  He's 23 and she's 21.  They'll be getting carded for the rest of their lives if they hold the pace  ;D

You are right they will.  She is a beautiful bride.  But aren't all brides beautiful?

The expression on the bride's face in the third photo is absolutely priceless!

That one single shot I feel was my best of the event.  She was say her vows.  When you see them when they think no one is looking, you just KNOW they are madly in love with one another.

And now the marriage begins.  They need our prayers that that love continues.......It takes work as we all know!

Oh, they know it, too.  They BOTH have good, solid Christian parents that have instilled in them what it takes to keep them together... Jesus Christ at the center of their marriage!

For someone who wouldn't shoot weddings for a living, you certainly did very well.
Better than some of the so-called wedding photographers I know. Great wedding shots, Gary.

Wedding Photography is not for every photographer. I guess I am one of the few who actually enjoyed shooting weddings. I did it professionally for 23 years. It helped me earn extra income to finance the university education of my three daughters. My last wedding coverage was in 2008.

Last month, I was the "Father of The Bride" rather than the photographer of the bride.
Here below is the old retired wedding photographer with his daughter (Anne) and his wife (Gina) The photo was shot by the official wedding photographer at the wedding.

Thanks very much, Mario.  I did "OK".  But, then, I didn't expect much.  Just memento  snaps for the grooms family really.

Looks like your photog did quite well.  Great photo.
