JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Janet

I am off for a busy day--scrapbooking and also a big crafts bazaar in town today.

The play last night was cute; Jeff did a great job, as usual; Diane cooked a wonderful meal; and we even got to see Abby dance between acts.  And got more hugs from Mark, too!  :) :)

I woke up to a very foggy morning.  In fact, it was a Fog Advisory!  Unusual for this time of year!  Mid 40's right now and that is the high for today also!!

Ha!  No, the women don't say anything about me putting their ages on the calender...mainly because I am the 3rd oldest!  'Course after a certain age you want to say how old you are.  I am past that certain age!

Today is stay home day.  Three loads of laundry and the first load is about ready to fold.  Also making my Corn Bread Salad and the corn bread is cooling now.  About time to cut up veggies and open cans!  And I will probably work on the laptop and my calenders.  I thought of something to do that will make next year be easier!

:)  Good afternoon to all.   Last night I went with some friends to a concert at the Imax Movie theatre in Niagara Falls  the group singing was the  Blackwood Brothers Quartet and they were fantastic two of the son's of the original James Blackwood are singing in the group there father started it in 19-34 and his one son is the exact clone of his father.   So if you ever here that they are in your area try to go and see them  they are so sincere about there witness for the Lord.

Larry:  Sorry to here that your daughter is not well again I do hope that she will be o.k. and I know that the Lord's people will be praying for her.

Have not got a report on my grandson today yet.

Judy B.   How are you all doing  do you have snow already?  God bless and look after yourselves please say hi to John and the family.

I don't preach every sunday (I'm supposed to be retired.  That's rediculous!).  But our pastor will be down in the Bay Area this weekend, so I'm preaching tomorrow.  It'll be on Blind Bartemaus, and the focus will be on prayer (Mark 10).  I'd appreciate prayer.

I have been getting PM's on Facebook from Marilyn.  She had her computer worked on and now she can't get on CP.  The only website that she can't.  Any ideas, anyone?  I guess you can email her if you have any ideas.

I am all ready for church after a great night's rest.  My cornbread salad is packed up and ready for transport.  This kind of weather, I can leave it in the car until just before we eat!

I suggested to her that it may be a firewall thing.  I don't know enough to help her.  Janet didn't you have the same probem for a while?  Is it possible to have someone at the place she took the puter to lock out CP?

Larry Hanna

Hi everyone.  I will head to church in about 30 minutes.  We are having our commitment Sunday today and thus one combined service.  The choir is singing a new piece for us that is based on an Irish tune and very nice.

I just talked with our daughter, who is still in the hospital.  Her A1C count (hope that is right) is over 9 and they are not having any success in getting it down.  She expects to be released from the hospital today and is looking forward to getting back to her apartment so she can get some proper rest.

Etta Sue, hope your Church dinner is good but know they always are.  Pot lucks are hard to beat.  I have no idea why Marilyn can't get back on CP unless she is using the wrong username or password.  There is no other logical explanation of which I am aware.

Al, I am confident that your sermon will be well received this morning.  It is nice that you are willing and able to fill in for your pastor when he is away.

Gord, I didn't know that there was a current Blackwood Brothers group.  Glad you enjoyed the concert.

Janet, it sounds like the play, hugs, etc. made for a great day.  Hope you enjoyed the scrapbooking yesterday.

It's been quite a while since I last posted here, but it was lovely to read through everyone's comments and enjoy the wonderful family atmosphere here in this forum. :)

Recently I have had the urge to pick up my camera and head out into my garden - we are now in springtime here in Australia - and after a lot of rain everything is so green and fresh and the newly opened flowers large and colourful.

Over the last few years my time has been spent on developing my new business of website and graphic design, so i haven't had time for my greatest passions of photography and writing.

My six sons are growing so fast are now 16 years down to 6 years old. 3 of them already are taller than me! My youngest son, Moses, started kindy this year, so all my boys are now in school ... talking of whom, it's time now to get them ready for school, so will see you all again soon!

Love and blessings in our wonderful Saviour Jesus. :)

Soaking in the Glory. Releasing the Fire!

It will soon be the end of another year! How time flies ... as "they" say.  :)

This morning I heard that dreaded sound of water running outside (from the water heater closet), and I have no way, or tools, to open that particular door or turn off the water!  I called the park manager and (eventually) he came and shut off the water to the house, but he didn't have the tools to open the place where the water heater is, and from whence came the running water!   :-\  And, of course, it is a weekend and my neighbors are out of town!  So ... here I sit with no running water, and wondering how to get the door open to the water heater.

I have a feeling it is not a problem/leak with the water heater, but perhaps a pipe has burst from the frosty night we just had.  The water heater is eight years old.  Should it be already needing replaced?  I just have to wait until tomorrow when (1) my neighbors should be home again and (2) there will be businesses open for my business!  Ah me ..... it's always something, isn't it?

This sort of problem plagued me a lot the first few years after I moved here, and always on a weekend, in the pouring rain, or in the middle of the night!  By the way, it has been raining a lot the past couple of daze and off and on today, as well.

I can be thankful I did the laundry yesterday and showered last night so maybe I can go a day or so without water, y'think?   :-\

Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass .... it's about learning to dance in the rain!
