JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Happy New Year

2010 is past and now it is the start of 2011  I truly pray that this is a much better year.

Dec. 31   I cleaned floors with a mop and bucket of water. A good thing but the bad part happened when I started to walk across the last floor not dry yet and yes I fell. I did not hurt myself only stiff muscles, given past history it will be in my best interest to visit the chiropractor on monday if possible perhaps it will be Tuesday as most business will be closed on Monday.

Dinner out New Years Eve then today we went to our daughters for dinner.   Tomorrow the whole family will be here, most of the prep work is done so I trust that for the most part it will be a relaxed time together.

In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.  Proverbs 3:6

Another sleepless night.

The temperature is dropping.  We are to have snow.  That is more like what we expect but I must say the warmer temperatures were nice while they lasted.  We have a lot of wind tonight.

I am all ready for church.  Ivalou and I are greeters at the front door this morning.  It will be fun asking where have you been...I haven't seen you since last year!

I am going out early to start the car.  Hope it starts.  It is 18 degrees.  Cold.  And the heat pump in the house didn't work last night.  It was 4 degrees colder in the house than what the temperature was set on the heat pump.  But the furnace was set at the lower temperature.  Warmer now that I turned the furnace up.  I haven't had this much fluctuation in temperatures in a house since the old coal stove years ago!

Not much planned today except Kitty and I are going for pizza this evening.  That sounds good.

Hi everyone.  Have a few minutes before needing to leave for church this morning.  It looks like it will be a nice day in the Atlanta area as it is already 46 degrees and suppose to go up into the mid 50s with partly cloudy.  It was a rainy day yesterday.

We did attend the 70th birthday party for my very good friend.  They have a beautiful home and his wife gave him a lovely party with a number of friends and family in attendance.  This is one of the men I have lunch with almost every Monday.  We came home and I watched the bowl games, worked a bit on the computer, and then read my current eBook.  I am really enjoying this device and feel it is probably the thing of the future.  I read that over eight million Kindle's were sold this last year and there are a number of other brands as well.

Etta Sue, that sounds very cold up your way but not as bad as what Janet reported at -11.  Maybe your car battery is telling you it is time for a replacement.  Either that or it is feeling neglected and is punishing you!! :)

Judy, would think this is the time of the year where you will begin to see quite a bit of snow that will stay on the ground.  Glad you had some warmer weather.

Ruth, sure glad you were not hurt badly in your fall.  That is not a good way to start a new year.

Carol,  we have never been much in the way of party people so it is no disappointment to stay home on New Year's Eve.  A few years ago we did attend an annual Bunko party that a group from our church did on New Year's Eve and it was very enjoyable.  I don't even remember how to play that game anymore as it has been over 15 years since we attended that church.

Janet, that sounds like a very interesting book you discussed.  I think there have been a number of people who have had similar experiences and been able to talk about them.  Your new camera sounds great.  However, I want mine to work automatically, which it does.

Marilyn, you sound like us in needing to write things down.  I just now made a note to put on the counter that we need to put some clothes in the dryer that Pat had washed yesterday and forgotten to dry when we get home from church.  She re-rinsed them this morning.
