Strong winds on a grey day whilst waiting for the winter storm to move in.

Good shots.

He doesn't look as though he's anticipating a storm with any joy!     Good capture.

He looks like he is already feeling the storm brewing.  Great shots!

Thanks very much, y'all.  The feeding station has been a madhouse all day.  There's definitely something afoot weather-wise.

Don't they have lovely colours?   But they sure chase away all the little ones.

Only for a little while. 

The blues really stand out on those.  I'll have to look at this again on my monitor at home.  The wind is very evident in the first shot.

Beautiful.  I love the colours of the Jays.  They will eat anything even fight the dogs for their food.

What pretty coloring he has.  I am just beginning to enjoy bird photography, since I started paying regular visits to a friend who has a cabin on the edge of a canyon.  We can see all kinds of birds in the pine trees next to her deck.  Having feeders helps!
