Just a brief "Heads Up" to everyone... I am planning a major site overhaul/upgrade within the next week, probably either on Tuesday or Thursday.

The upgrade will bring with it a fresh look and some more features, including:
Ability for us to set up special membergroups which users can join freely or request to join
Moderation center
Ability for us to create custom profile fields without having to modify forum code
Improved PM functionality (ability to choose from several different "views" and set up rules to sort things out)
Improved notification features (you will be able to get all new topic/new post notifications as a single daily or weekly "digest" if you prefer)
Improved look for the calendar
WYSIWYG editor, allowing you to quickly format your posts without needing to know bbcode
Automated "happy birthday" emails

The upgrade will probably take 30-45 minutes and I will try to do it later in the day when the forum isn't as active. More details about the new features will be posted after the upgrade.

Sounds like a new learning curve for us Jeanne.  You up for it!

Judy, these learning curves are keeping this old brain active.  I think. 

Site has been upgraded. Everything should be working, but if you find something that isn't, let me know

Are we going to have our left sidebar?

Not sure where it went. It was there the other night, unless I somehow set it to not show the blocks on the forum. I'll go look at it in a minute.

They're back now. I had accidentally disabled all the portal features. I still need to tweak something to keep it from showing the blocks/sidebar on the gallery pages, but I'll deal with that in a bit.

Got it figured out. Blocks won't display on the gallery now

I've also set it to hide them on the profile page and (for those with access) in the admin center, so things don't look to squished there.
