Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Hi, friends,

I, too, had a busy day, Marilyn. This was tidying up some doctors visits and being measured for new therapeutic shoes and custom inserts to help deal with the broken tendon in my ankle. Then, thankfully, I came home and took a brief nap.

The weather's supposed to be pretty bad here in the middle of the night. Judy, my trucker son is right in the midst of that unsettled weather, with a delivery in a city west of here that is currently under tornado watches, that delivery is due at 1am. So, I too am praying for my son's safety and that of the other 18 wheelers affected by the weather tonight.

Larry, I agree - things given as presents or as our children taking care of our welfare, but the precious gift of their time is priceless.

Ruth, it's good to see you peeking in the door again today.

Much love to all who come here.

Hi everyone.  It is a cloudy morning with some rain expected at different times today but still staying warm.  I have been to coffee this morning and plan on staying home the rest of the day.  Pat and I enjoyed our meal at Longhorn's.  Finally after about seven weeks and many calls I think my DIL will receive the Great Call device to use in an emergency.  What should have been so easy became so difficult.  Now the package is in the mail with a tracking number so it should now be delivered in three days.  I had a message from my son this morning that they were headed back to the doctor this morning and my dil's pneumonia seems to be getting worse.  Hope she doesn't end up back in the hospital.

Ruth, you are right in your statement that "life was never meant to be easy" but God always provides the strength we need to get through each of the challenges we are given.

Judy, it sounds like you will have to less vocal for awhile.  I hope the situation will resolve itself and won't require surgery.  It does sound like you will have a lot of outside work to do when the snow is gone. I know you are always concerned about John when he is away.  Hope he is able to get home soon.

Ruth Ann, those new shoes will set you back a few dollars.  We bought a pair for Stacey that were quite expensive but she was never able to get much use out of them.  I didn't realize truckers would make deliveries at 1 am.  Hope the bad weather missed where your son was last night and also missed Nashville.  I guess the tornado season is getting off to a fast start.

Marilyn, I can't image going to four grocery stores in one day.  One is more than enough for me.  It sounds like you have a lot of energy.

John has made it across the border, I had a call just a few minutes ago.  He pushed it up to the border last night and he is glad he did, The weather turned nasty during the night.  Right now he is on dry roads, however that same system is expected to come across the great lakes and hit Ontario as well.  So he had better keep moving ahead of the system.  HE is safe and that is always a relief to me.

It is +5C here or 40F or about there.  It is overcast, damp and windy out.  A suggestion of what today is to become.

Here is a song for you today, I found it a blessing.  www.youtube.com/watch?v=YN9-Ri6qjZY

Ruth Ann stay safe, Larry rest well.  Everyone else have a good day.

G'Morning ....  Just stopping in to see what y'all are up to.  It looks like there are still plenty of reasons to pray for healing and safety for our very special family here.

Ruth Ann, your foot problem is much more severe, and has been ongoing for a very long time.  My granddaughter, Becky, ended up in the ER yesterday evening because she thought she twisted her ankle going down the steps at her mother's home.  Dot called me from the ER and I guess they had quite a long wait to be seen.  As usual, the place was packed.  ::)  Late last night Becky posted on FaceBook that she "got splints and crutches ... nothing broken, but torn ligaments."  She must be in a lot of pain, and slowed down considerably in riding herd on an almost 3 year-old!

Thanks, Judy ... one more time to hear "He Giveth More Grace"

I'm awaiting a phone call from Nita.  We decided we need to get together again, and she will be out for groceries, so she'll call to figure out where we will meet.  It has been a while since we've seen each other and this will be good.

It really was good to see Zeebers peeking in the other day.

Ruth, Larry, Judy, Marilyn, Noreen, and so many others ... I am praying for healing and strength for the days ahead ... it's not easy living around the pain and physical drawbacks you have.  Life is tough enough without added stress.

Gotta go ..... Y'all take care now, y'hear?  Nita just called, and we're going out to Empire Lakes this afternoon "to just hang out."    8)
Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass .... it's about learning to dance in the rain!

Jane Remember the day we three hung out together at the lakes and burger King, and Shore Acres, that was a fun day. Well I don't think Shore Ares was the same day. I think we were at Bastendorf that day.

Hi Everyone!

De-cluttering is a terrible job!!!!!

That's what I've been doing for awhile now.   My niece is here and she's fantastic.  She carries a box/carton upstairs from the basement to my chair and I sit and go through it.  I found my three kids report cards and Janice was here today and was so thrilled to get them.

Hi Ruth!  Hope you get things straightened out.  I'd love a coffee.  Tell Mel to bring me one!!!  LOL

Zeebers, so good to see your post and Doug, fantastic to see you in here.

Well, back to the job of de-cluttering.

Hi, friends,

I'll forego speaking to each of you individually tonight. I took my sister in law about town to take care of some errands, and now the allergies are really bothering my eyes. They're itchy and watering.

Suffice it to say, I love each one of you, and wish only the best for you the rest of this day.

One clock says 1:09 another says 9:44.......Have you ever been in a quandary about what to believe?  My husband told me the correct time....I went to someone who was reliable, Time is easy, however when it comes to the life the Bible is reliable.   Ohhh yes we had a power outage last night, that is why the different times on the clocks.

Heading out with John today, looking forward to that, be back later!

Hi everyone.  We escaped the rain and bad weather yesterday and today is going to be nice.  Our DIL is back in the hospital as her pneumonia isn't any better and may be worse and there is also the possibility she has contacted MERSA.  We haven't heard from them today. Pat and I are going to try out a new Mexican restaurant at lunch time today.  I plan on watching the two basketball games in the Final Four with the first one starting at 6 pm.

Jane, sometimes those ligament tears can be worse than a break.  Sorry that Becky has to deal with this and all the other problems at the moment.  Hope you had a great time with Nita yesterday.

Pat, decluttering is something we need to do but just don't have the energy to tackle it so keep putting it off until tomorrow.  Glad you have help in the process.

Judy, power outages are no fun.  I am glad John made it back into the country and is back home.

Ruth Ann, our pollen count was over 2,000 here yesterday and many people are suffering.

Hi Maryilyn.

Ruth

:coffee:  Good afternoon this windy & cool day.

I had a very restful nights rest but for some reason still feeling tired. Perhaps I should go out for a short walk and that will clear the tiredness.

Pat:  De cluttering can be a lot of fun but be sure that the garbage bag gets filled.  I can be guilty of moving things from one pile to another but the garbage bag stays empty.

Have a wonderful rest of the day
