Prayers are going upward for Papa John and for Marilyn.

It is hard to talk when our hears are so burdened for our friends.  Blessings to you, my dear friends.

I am very thankful to be here and a big thanks to my ciber space friend Pat who directed me here.

Thanks to all who have welcomed me.  I am in the learning stage as to how everything works.

I am praying for Papa John and wife for healing and comfort in this very trying time.

I am anxious to see how this post comes out I do not think I have a profile as yet and should a picture show up you can call it a miricle, because I have not sent one in yet.  LOL

Very disturbing news to hear about Papa John.   I know we will all lift him up to the Lord.  Pray for God to give the doctor's wisdom.

I love that song Pat  "Until Then" as you know I sang that song at my own dear Mother's funeral.  My Mom and Dad went to glory 5 years ago this coming week.

Oh, Boots...  I'm so glad to see you posting.  I'm so sorry that our hearts are all so heavy.  Normally, we'd be doing a "Happy Dance" or something when someone new figures out how to post but I just don't feel like it tonight.

Please send me a photo of yourself though and I'll make sure that it shows when you post.

Make sure you have your birthday listed in your profile as well and for sure we'll have a party that day!

I am so sorry to hear about Papa John being worse; he and all of you have been in my prayers, but we have done nothing this week, except travel back and forth to Peoria because Garys' mom is in the hospital. I have deleted all my emails every day because there has just been no time.Pat, thank you so much for contacing me; I do love and appreciate you. What is the matter with my friend Marilyn? Dear Heavenly Father, we all need your support at this time; we lift up Papa John,and his family, and ask that You touch him with your healing hand. if that is your will, Lord. Please forgive me, my friends, for not being here very much; I do love and pray for you all.

Y-all will never in a million years guess who showed up at my door bringing me Vitamin C. First there was the phone call then the visit. You got it! Brother Al. Thank you Brother Al.  My throat is still on fire, I just pray that tonight I will be able to sleep. Didn't do much of that last night. The Doctor said I am not contagious, no fever but I doubt I will make it to church tomorrow,. Got to go backtowork on Monday tho'.Been watching another debate that was minus Arnie. Very interesting.

Marilyn, that is just the nicest news.  I'm so happy that Al did that for you.  I hope as Janet has suggested that you will take zinc as well.  That's great for sore throats.

I am taking zinc as well. I have zinc lozenges and also a cold preparation that is like a cough drop and it is also zinc. A natural preparation.

Thank you Pat for posting those lovely pictures of Papa John and Cornelia.   It will remind us all to continue to pray for them.

We had to pick up Melaura from Bush Camptoday as she is sick.  Bronchitis. When I arrived home from Hospital We at 10:45 sat down to eat supper.  While waiting for the stove I read an email form Pat.  Thank you Pat.

I am indeed praying for Papa Jphn and the pictures are beautiful.

I will read all the posts tomorrow when I will be able to rest with a cup of tea.

Welcome Boots!!

Thank you for the email Pat.  I have posted a prayer for Papa John.  How strange that without ever having met them, their sweetness has made such an impression.   Some Christians simply shine so bright that we are all the better for them....Liz.

Hello all.  Just popping in quickly before i go to bed.  

We went to Cades Cove today in TN.  The leaves are just barely starting to change.  I got one shot where they look "autumnish," but only because of the way the light was hitting them.  When the sun went behind a cloud, they looked green again.  

I'm so sorry to hear of Papa's set back.  I am praying for strength and grace for him and Cornelia and the daughters.   And of course, healing, because that is what I want.  If God has other plans, so be it.

Take care everyone and GET BETTER!!!! (if you are sick or ailing.  If not, STAY BETTER!!!!)

Boots, it's truly wonderful to see you here. I've always really admired you. You possess talents and strengths that are amazing, and your compassionate heart shows through what you do. Welcome, my brother!

I think I was more tired from the trip than I realized. I've napped on and off all day today, finally felt like being up and about in the late afternoon.

So, I've done a bit of grocery shopping, checked e-mails, spent time in prayer, etc.

I'll try to contact the family of Papa John tomorrow. Just felt that maybe they needed this time today to reflect and pray as they wait for their saint of God to go through this period.

I'm going to go now and pray for Papa John.  Im so glad that the Lord is not ashamed of our tears.  I don't want to lose another now.  I want Papa John to be gloriously healed and spend more time with his family and loving God on earth.

That's what I want.   Pat, I WILL be praying when I leave here.  
I know you love he and Cornlia so much.

You stay well.  You hear?  I'm praying for your quick recovery.  Flu colds are a bear (If that's what it is).  We just got over a stinker.  I was sleepy all the time and took as many as four naps a day for two days.  Chest hurt etc.
