JennyW: Hello Janet! I check every day. I wish everyone would get going again! I miss seeing pictures and reading posts! 2025-01-24, 06:54:04

Janet: Hello, Friends!  Let's get this going again!  I miss  hearing from all of you! 2025-01-23, 19:26:16

Don: Hey Judy, It's been a long time. Hope you are doing well. 2024-12-02, 22:41:41

JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Carol: My husband Don is with the angels.....Our family was able to hold  ourselves together for the last moments.  Juar rhoufhr you might want to know. 2022-04-29, 23:35:15

Etta Sue,
in PSP 8, have you gone to file- preferences-general preferences-view, and there tried experimenting with the sizes of screens?
It may work out.
I think they should be all ticked.

Hello everyone.  It's been a long time since I've had the opportunity to post here.  I've been so busy planning!  Just the guest list took a long time, and it's still got to go through some revisions!

However, I put a deposit on a dress today.  And I got a tiara, and the veil as well, so things are coming together.  I'm excited.

Sonja-Chandraya is such a sweet little child!  Kids can give us such a neat perspective on things!

Meika-I like the new picture!  So cute!

Well, there is still much to be done here.  Sorry I can't get on here as often.  I pray the family here is doing well.  God bless you all.  Jen.

Cami

Hi to all of you! Pat, thank you for that devotional. Jenny, I love the way that you look at things; about Hannah knowing Samuels' size, etc. Ria, glad you and Marcel are in no pain today; God is good all the time! I really enjoy reading your posts, and think your English is quite good!  I paid bills and balanced the checkbook this morning, so I am very late in getting here. Pat, praying for you a safe trip! Hi to my friend, Marilyn; I tried to go to your site yesterday, but couldn't get in; sometimes, this little web does weird things like that! I hope you all have a blessed day!
Love in Him,
Cami

I'm with you Janet it sure sounds like Jen is planning a wedding. If it was announced here I missed it too.

I agree, Janet and Marilyn.  I do believe there is a wedding brewing.  If it was announced before, I missed it also.  Tell us more about the reason for a dress, tiara. veil and planning a guest list.

Chris ~ I checked my PSP8 at File/Preferences/General Preferences/View and all are ticked.  But thanks for suggesting it.  I didn't hear from Melvin today.  Will call tomorrow or send an email to him and jog his memory that I am having problems.

Jerry and I had Chinese again today.  As usual, lots of Mexicans there.  Hmmm.  They must not like their own food.  Then we went to Walmart.  WalMart is a great place to find what you want but a terrible place to get out of.  Jerry and I stood in line for over a half hour to get checked out!  I timed the cashier once.  Took over 5 minutes to check out one lady that had maybe 10 items.  And then the next lady wrote a check.  Must have been a new cashier because she checked driver's license, wrote the number on the check, put the number in the computer, checked the signature, wrote the phone number on the check and all.  I was fuming by the time I got out of there.  Ridiculous!!  (I am down off my bandbox now!)

Going to say good night now.....it is early but I have some TV to watch tonight!!

JudyB

Yes I do remember a wedding annuncement!  Not sure of the date though.  Jen. please keep us updated on the plans, ok?

Well the girls are getting back into a schedule.  The week is lost for teaching, but that will be caught up.  Melaura's fever has finally broken.  That is the good thing.

You know when as a mom you pray, pray, and pray  some more and things don't seem to be changing, DON'T give up.  We don't have the big picture.  Our Farher does and things work out in His time.  I have been so discouraged in the past 3 years and shed many a tear.  Yet God has answered prayer in a way that I woould never have imagined.  Again DON'T GIVE UP.  Leave your burden at the cross and don't pick it back up.

John is in Michigan tonight.  He is experiencing flat bed work for the first time.  His main complaint is that it is dirty!

We have another good day coming tomorrow.  I am going to closeing for now and will check in again before I go to bed.

Pat how was your dental appointment?

Have been and am praying.

Linking to a graphic on your website works much better if you upload it.   ::)

Indian Summer is in full swing.  It actually got up to 75F today - just my kind of weather.  After rain on Sunday it's supposed to start cooling back down and that's OK, too. ;D

Got all my bills paid today.  I took them all to the post office so they'd go out in today's mail and when I got home there were two more in our mailbox.    :-\

But I did get some pictures - Now that I have them ready, I'll post them.

Carol.........

My Vivian is Swedish and speaks it fluently.  I kid her and tell her she plays the piano in Swedish.  I said to Ria, my sisier in the Lord: 'Yag Alskaday"  which means: "I love you". :-* :) :D

karmat

Good evening!!

Etta, I think youasked what island my sister was on.  I believe she is in Maui, so I guess that is Oahu.  She called mama this morning and said the weather was beautiful and she was enjoying herself.  I hate it for her.  :P

Sorry I haven't been in today.  I've been battling something.  Feels like the flu only without a fever.  I'm feeling some better now, but not completely.  I think I just need a good night's sleep.

Take care everyone, and be good!!

kamrat

PS -- the only thing Swedish I know is that little chef guy on the Muppets.  He used to sing

"Ee bor skee dee bor
Say Umm,  ske deeddle do
Ee bor skee dee bor
Sey umm, tink tink tink (the tink tink tink is utensils being thrown)
Clunk clunk clunk" (the utensils land)

I hope I didn't just cuss somebody out or say something really rude. ??? ::) :-\

Was a beautiful day here on the North Coast of California today, athough driving on the freeway between here and Arcata I ran  in fog both ways I don't think the temp ever got over 60.

Hello Lee, Are you finding your way here yet Just keep on nosing around and you will get the hang of it real soon.Speaking of other languages , the only Russian words I ever learned were the bad ones.

I have been checking out a site at www.overstock.com checking out computers. I can get a Dell with just the keyboard and mouse for $300., that has windows 2000., and 20 gig hard drive.I think that would suffice for me. I already have 2 monitors, 2 keyboards, 2 mice. Now all I need to do is save up the money, with Christmas coming that might be a problem.

Pat S.:  I hope that the dentist work is over for a while at least - such a long drive and I know that you have been going back & forth for months.

Janet:  Laying tile is such hard work on knees.  Take care.  I was able to finish the floor & still have coffee with our friend.

Judy B:  You are such a hard worker and sweet to care for the children.  I hope all of their ailments are over now.

Sonja:  How nice that you have the special times with each of the children.  I enjoy your notes about them as my own are grown and married (except one is not married) and I have missed having them around for years.  We fill the time and just love to visit them and gather whenever possible.  Enjoy this sweet time.

Etta Sue!  You are terrorizing Mieka!  We ate Chinese tonight - don't tell her  ;D

Lee:  I took a little Swedish class at the university last year and all the youngsters wanted to learn was how to pick up a girl, and how to order beer - I ended up skipping the final party night.

Marilyn:  I am going to check overstock as we have one computer down and this older laptop is giving signs of failing too.

Carol

Ok, yes, I am planning a wedding for next June.  Come to think of it, I don't think I actually did announce it on here.  I thought I had, but thinking back now, I think I just pm'd Pat about it.  I'm excited.  :).

Marilyn, you could try calling Dell at 800-915-3355 to see if you could get just a CPU from them.  They may have some refurbished ones for just as good a price and then you'd have a Dell warranty - probably only short term, but better than nothing.

And check out Compaq/HP, too, at 800-752-0900 to see what they might have.

Goodness! :o  It looks as though we'll have to have a cyber bridal shower here pretty soon!   ;D

Hy Ruthie!  How are you?

Pookeybear I think that was the name for one of my kids favourite teddies, faithful and cuddly.   :)

Marilyn I have a friend who could sell you a puter if you were closer.  I hope you get what you need.

Carol I see them getting better today. It has been a long haul and unfortunately Melaura has lost weight again.  How I wish I could give her some of mine, she will struggle to keep it on as I struggle to get it off.

Etta Eue sorry to hear about your time at Wal Mart.  I had a slow check out girl this week too.  Judy Mc there is a WalMart in Cambridge at 24 and 401.  Easy access and loads of parking.  Give it a try sometime.  There is a Michaels in the same plaza.  It is across from the old Knob Hill Farms was.   What I wish we had up here is the Target stores.

Well it is late, I am sure Pat will be starting tomorrows devotional soon.

Love to all and have a good night

Thanks Jeanne, I am also going to contact Gateway.

I wouldn't go with gateway. My husband being a UPS man has to pick up these computers that have problems and send them back to get fixed.  Guess which one he picks up the most?  The Gateway computers.  I would really look into getting a compaq or even looking at getting one made just for you.  Compaq does that to.  I bought this computer about a month ago and it cost me $989.00 with monitor and all.  It has 512 mg ram and cd burner.  It is a good computer for the net and pictures.  Not bad for a custom built computer. I know it would be hard to find one like this any where else besides walmart. But have fun trying to fix those if something did go wrong with it.

Just thought you would like to know.  ;D

Welcome PookyBear!

Sue

Chris, I love the song.  I don't think it is just for children either.  It is simple enough to sing/hum all day everyday.

Etta Sue;, If you are being selfish, then shame on me because I feel the same way!  I want Mieka to stay here and not go either.

Hugs and kissses to Mieka!

Liz, what a beautiful poem and and so very true.

Oh well.  It is very late, and as my daughter came home from a staff meeting and informed that her shift for tomorrow was changed from an 8 am start to 6 am I guess I should really head to bed.  After I drop her at work, I must spend an hour on the road as I promised to help my best friend with some organizing of her apartment.  When she found out that I had to be up a tad earlier...said....just bring some coffee with you.

Good Night and God Bless everyone!

Lee Kirkwood

Etta Sue....... :)

Actually Etta Sue, the Mexicans just might be unhappy campers because they can't get MEXICAN food.  The "Mexican" food you and I eat is original southwestern Mexican food".    What we eat isn't Mexican food.  We've been to Mexico several times and I have to laugh because the first time we were there I couldn't find a Mexican restaurant in all of Mexico City.  Our "Mexican food" is foriegn to them.

Lee Kirkwood

Welcome POOKY BEAR.  I'm not as fancy as the others, but I'm just as sincere. ;D

Marilyn......

Yep, I'malearnin.

I learned two Russian words when we were in Lenengrad in 1985...Dos Vadonia. Translated: "Good bye".

That's another story.  I won't go into it other than to say that we smuggled 50 Russian language Bibles into the country before it was legal.  We passed them out only to the people God led us to.  Makes me tear when I think of the reaction on the peoples faces and what they said when they received the first Bible they had ever seen in their lives.
